Topic: Sooo ANGRY (update) Posted: 10 April 2007 at 4:35pm |
So Tuesday came, and the un-named shop was supposed to call me this morning about the broken cot. but no phone call. I ring them, still pissed about the whole situation but more pissed because they havent rung. I speak to the manager, (no wonder her staff are a bunch of useless twits, she was just as bad) any ways to cut a long rant short, they got me a new drop side.
They were so unfriendly, no apology, not even a smile, so i told them i was boycotting the shop, and as a walked out i said to another customer walking in not to shop there they were rude and un helpful, and also didnt seem to care at all about the safety of children, and she turned around and walked out.
Rant over, cot fixed.

Its a core principle of customer service - customers will always share bad stories, and they will 'choose with their feet'...meaning they will take their business elsewhere. I HATE shop people who are unhelpful - especially if I am spending a lot of money there or if I have made a special effort / journey to visit a shop.
Go-on....Tell us which shop it was - there may be others who have experienced bad or unhelpful services at the same place, but havent said anything.

Oooh, me too! We went there looking for carseats a month or so ago and they were all standing around chatting at the counter.
We asked for some information and one of the girls gives this giant sigh and goes and drags the one girl who was working away from the customer she was helping to advise us, and didn't even take over helping the customer who got abandoned for us!
The info we got was pretty hopeless and she couldn't answer any of my questions about how to strap the carseat in either.
Ridiculous when you consider how much competition they've got in the area, and the fact that they're a specialised baby shop!

I can't say I've ever really been impressed with the service at that shop either...

GOod on you! I remember seeing a car parked at Mitre 10 about a year ago - they'd obviously had a bad experience with a car dealer, and had put signs in their side windows naming the dealer and recommending that people don't touch them with a barge pole! When you think about how much time you spend in traffic in Auckland, it's one way to get your message out!!! I thought, good on them!

I've shopped there before - was buying a breast pump (before I had Caitlin) and whilst we were at the till paying for it another lady came in with one that had broken (for whatever reason) and she needed it then and there to feed her baby. The shop assistant said she couldn't have that one (last one in shop) as I had already asked for it and that she would have to go miles away to go pick up one from another branch!
I couldn't believe the stupidity of the sales chick!!! So I gave the pump to the lady and bought my pump at my local Baby City in Henderson who were disgusted at the attitude of the Albany branch. I've always bought my stuff from the Henderson shop and have found them to always be really really helpful
So it's definitely NOT a one off! I'd never shop at Albany again on principal!
