Absolutely furious

Ohhhh I am SO angry!!! I was just sitting at the lunch table with a few others from work, and one of the girls asked me how the baby is today, and I said he's fine and that there was a little knee sticking out earlier but I think he's asleep now.

And one of the guys there said, 'Would you stop that?' to us. And I looked at him in genuine puzzlement and said, 'Stop what?' And he said, 'Talking about that while I'm eating my lunch'. And I just looked at him in bafflement and asked if he found me talking about my unborn child offensive and he said, 'Well obviously'. And I said, 'How is it different from talking about any other child?' and he refused to answer me even though I asked a couple of times and just went back to eating his lunch. So I pretty much stormed off.



F*cking wanker, how dare he try to suggest that my child is something he wouldn't want to hear discussed while eating! I'm so angry I'm actually close to tears!

You next time you end up with him sitting near you i'd be tempted to throw around a few terms like "episotomy" and "birth canal". (yes I do know I have an evil streak)

Actually if this occured in the workplace - you are entitled to make a complaint. I would seriously speak to your manager or your HR manager about it. Its not good enough to just let someone get away with comments like that - even if the guys is a prick!

What a creep!! I hope that some of the other woman in the room gave him an earful once you left. I'm sure they were as shocked as you. Not sure how he can interpret that as 'disgusting talk'. He's obviously led quite a sheltered life!!
