garbage is being posted on here lately.

such juvenile time wasting posts...

i know you are saying dont read them then, but i dont know they are a load of rubbish till i open them up.

i'm sick of people posting to themselves to get to 100, i hate the 1-200 post, men looking for thier buddies, women being nosey about our habits... dont we have better things to do with our time? come on we are grown ups.

ggggrrrr

I don't consider it being nosey about our / my habits - if someone wants to find out about something and they are comfortable here, who is to say they are not allowed to ask ?? Or should be uncomfortable asking ?? The internet gives a degree of anonymity to people who might be too shy to ask someone IRL.

And if I want to waste my evening posting nothing but numbers then that's my choice - sure I could be reading a book, knitting or sewing, but I choose to be here... don't see it as a big deal.

Considering this is the description given for the general section (where the posts are generally going..)

     General Chat
For Mum's, Dad's, parent's to be, grandparents, friends you name it! and you name the topic you want to chat about!

I'm ok with it

such as how many PMs do you have, how do you answer posts...
seeing as most of us are parents or working hard while trying to be parents or working and parenting together i find it hard to believe how often some people post and how momentously boring their posts are and how much time they spend on here instead of parenting or working or living in the real word...it reminds me of those stupid little paper games we did at school, which colour do you choose, now which number do you choose...

Speaking for myself....I actually have no friends, I am home alone at the moment (DH is in Tauranga and will be in Syd next week) so I find popping in and out of here all day quite relaxing. Kinda like chatting on the phone to a couple of girlfriends during the day. If I come across a post that I am not interested in, I just pop back out, no probs.

Chillout Gandt seriously it's a general chat forum and I feel as adults we are all capable of making up our own minds. If you don't like what you see hit the back button. It's meant to be light hearted.

It does however amuse me that you comment about how much people post and you yourself have 2549!

Just let people have there fun. Relax

Ah well I think it's fun. Anyway it's up to everyone on here to choose what they post in etc. Even fun/silly stuff on here still beats tv so you'll still see me around!

dont pull the comp olliesmummie, its a fantastic idea, (i should really get ears pierced and enter huh).

im on holidays at the mo, so i hav the time to take ages reading every post/topic, but you only need to check a topic once to see what its about, if you dont like it or it doesnt interest you, then dont go back into it next time.

So deffinately keep the comp on olliesmummie, because i want to win!

Ok the posting to get to 100 annoys me a little....how about taking part in conversations in threads to get to 100...thats how most of us did it...

but the boys seeking out one another at night when there is usually only a few of us on etc is good - hey the dads are finally talking and i personally like that...

me and teresa chatting to ourselves or ginger on here prompts some amusing stuff at night...and there is noone else on chatting so why not...we do it in the general thread!!! and i like that the likes of teresa are creating stuf - if she hadnt then there would be nothing much new to read in here in past few days!

and i like the comp....its up to admin to remove that sort of stuff if they dont like it.

all up general is where it should be....

Im one of those such posters who can sometimes spend awhile on here posting nothing and evrything (including my post of how do you thread, yep I can be nosey). I enjoying being on here as it is a wealth of information and support as well as the fun/silly stuff. It keeps me company as Im a single mum and somedays dont see other adults to even talk to. I have no friends IRL with Toddlers or babies(except for my new found OB friends) and they all  work fulltime. I dont have any sibling close and no real family around. I get to come on here and share with you all what my children mainly baby is up too since I dont have their dad  around to share with this with.  It is also nice to see im not alone in this mind field of parenting, and my struggles are the same as everyone elses whether they are  married, younger, older etc...!! Keeping it light hearted is good too for the times when RL is ruff and a bit of light relief is needed.
