Jayde is saying mum. Got it on video last night. Hee hee must be because Alyssa is constantly saying mummmmmmmmmm muuuuummm. Makes me feel good as Alyssas first word was dada. Anyway very cute, she only says it when she wants my attention and then breaks into a huge grin smarty pants. . I thought she was going to take a while to talk as she hardly ever vocalises, but obviously not.

Jacob has started, as of yesterday, saying dad, dad dad, and daddy. Now, I know he dosen't know what it means, but it is very very clear what he is saying, even a stranger at the supermarket commented on it today! little smartypants, I am so gutted, because rod ALWAYS goes dad dad dad to him, and I always go mum mum mum.
Do you think its those words or just noises? sounds like the words, but he will only be 5 months on sunday?

Jake says "saishowagu" which is "rock paper scissors" in Japanese, He now calls me "sensei" which I wish he'd stop "and can say bye bye when he feels like it which is rarely. He also says "sugoi" which means cool. He doesn't actually use much English I've just realised.

lol sounds kewl - oh to have a bi-lingual child. paris's first word was nana, so mike was very gutted.
sometimes ayja comes out with things that are probably just noises, but it happens quite often so maybe it's the start of something, usually mumum or last night she sounded like she said ayja. lolol. probably didn't but both me and mike looked at each other as if to say "did she say that?"   it's so kewl when they actually start using proper words. paris used to meow at joey and say cat, she loved him - that was my faviourite by far... now all she does is shoo him away and say no joey go away shoo! poor cat. |

Han's started saying a few things but to be honest they aren't exactly words. She says "Uh-Oh" whenever she drops or throws something (about 600 times a day, it's driving me slightly batty) and says "Moo". I originally thought she was moo-ing at cows so thought she was quite clever, have now realised she moos at all animals. We'll work on it. Sometimes on the phone she mimics "Hello" but it comes out more like "Ayo". The only other word(?) she says a lot of is "Dat!" which I can only assume codes for "What's that?" and "I want that".
Can't wait until she's actually saying something coherent.
Favourite new sounds is "dad dad dad dad". The child doesn't have a father so I'm not sure what she is going to achieve by that. Maybe she's trying to rope one in???

lol, paris still says gog instead of dog most of the time.
we called our cat joey cos.. hhm i can't remember why. i think we were going through names of little kittens and i was trying to think of names of baby animals that might be cute and came up with joey - i also think it may have had something to do with friends.

OK, well I know it isn't a word, or anything close but my Joey, not a cat hehehehehe, has started copying sounds. If we say aaaaaaaaaaahhh to him then he does the noise back!! He can also copy oooooooooohh. Gosh babies are so amazing how quickly they learn stuff aren't they!!?? |

Arna is a TOTAL copycat!! She has been saying "ta" about 200 times a day since she was about 11 months.
Now she is copying us saying "ta-ta", buh-bye, cool, pretty etc - we only have to say it once and she says it!! Oh and she picked up "s-h-i-t" off me a lil while ago oopsie!!
She knows how to take a pix on the cellphone and send it. And does the whole talking thing...
 Children these days hehe
