The official word from Plunket is 8-9 months plus for yoghurt, custard, cheese etc. and 12 months plus for drinking cows milk, but there are some brands of yoghurt that do a 6 mth + one.

Ok so curly question for yas: why is custard and yoghurt ok at 9mos when it contains milk, but no drinking milk until 12mos? What's the difference, just portion size?

I'd say it was portion size cos they are still getting a lot of their nutrients from milk at 9 months so cows milk wouldn't have enough for them.
