I use Huggies at night on Ashleigh and have never had a problem but lately she has been drinking heaps of water and a couple of times her nappy overnight has been so full that it has leaked out the back (top). So is Huggies the best overnight nappy or can someone recommend another more absorbant one?

ETA oops this should probably have been in the product reviews section

We found Huggies the best but you could try a Treasures brand to see if the leg surround works better? Generally for absorbancy, you get what you pay for.

Yeah thats what I thought and seeing as Huggies are really expensive I thought they would be ok! Its actually leaking out of the top, not around the leg though

We used Huggies, but have heard good things about Air.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Han started leaking through Huggies just before she turned two and I had to go back to MCN and figure out a solution.

You could try a woollen soaker overtop of sposie if you aren't into modern cloth. That was the only thing that stopped the leaks.

We used to use Air with Maya and they were good overnight. Other than that we always used Treasures Ultra but they're probably not much different absorbency wise to Huggies, just a longer cut so might fit Ashleigh better, we always found Huggies were cut too small.

I found huggies much better than treasures. A friend of mine uses a MCN over a dosposiable at night as her 2 yr old is a huge wetter. Perhaps try that?

Modern Cloth Nappies! The few times we have used disposables I have found they leakes. Our washing machine died last week, and poor Isla woke up at 3 am screaming, she was wet through and so was the bed! We never have this prob with MCN's! And Kelly,...they look sooo much cuter than disposables! He he!

Hmmmm... Isla does look mighty cute in her MCN's!

I was gonna say though - we find Huggies the best overnight for Ella, but once she starts leaking out the top of them, it's time to move her up a size.

I found (and a few other mums on another site) that when they hit one and a half they just seem to leak thru anything, I tried next size up, treasures, huggies and even MCN but couldn't stuff fit enough in the pocket nappy to stop it happening so in the end I just bought some cheap plastic overpants and put them on at night. He eventually grew out of it tho.

My DS was leaking out of EVERY nappy!! We went through them all over a period of a few weeks... but since I switched back to Cloth he hasnt leaked at all! I forgot how good it was! We just use 2 inserts with the nappy and change it more than we normally would.

I haven't had any problems with the Soft Love nappies from Baby Factory, they are miles to big for Cooper but they still seem to do the trick. The other ones we've used are Cosies... you can get those from Nappies Direct.

Oh no! I hope it wasn't the shock of all the gremlins washing that made it die!
