i have evenflow one with the base. its the same one i had with tash but i didnt have the base with tash and i spent alot of time fluffying around with the seat belt every time we went anywhere.
i have also been lent our bosses one but i dont know what it is yet.

what ever you get though, try it in your car before you buy/hire and make sure it fits correctly and the seat belt is long enough.and that there is enough space between the front seat and the back seat!!

Have a look for ones that are positoned so that baby is not too upright, they should lay back nicely to ensure their airways are kept nicely supported open, not scrunched up and constricted.

I rented a (new) Baby Trends one from Baby On The Move. I think it was about $80 for six months? It's been great anyway, it's one of the ones with a base that clips in and out - and I recommend snap n go wheels too, they've been invaluable in the last couple of months.

I've rented the evenflo with base from plunket. I didn't think we would have a problem with it fitting in the car (a subaru impreza) but we will have to have the passenger seat quite far forward to accomodate it. I would have preferred it to be in the middle of the back seat but that isn't possible if we want to have leg room while driving.

So yeah, the suggestion by tashzmum to try it in the car first is a good one!

we have an evenflo one with base too here and its great. I find you do have to put the seat quite far forward to get it in and out but then the front seat can slot back and it sort of traps the seat in anyway. Although it does depend on the car.
