    Posted: 09 January 2008 at 9:39am

Have been using huggies on Ella during the night since she was a newborn and haven't had any problems with them....until now. She is waking up almost every 2nd night with her nappy soaked right through at the back. She is in the correct size and I think the next size up is toddler so will probably be too big for her (she is 9.2kg)

Can anyone recommend a good disposable nappy for during the night. Was thinking about giving treasures a go...

Thanks

We use Cosies, I used to use Softlove from Baby Factory, but I was able to buy a box of Cosies for $55 and it's lasted ages (it also worked out cheaper), I've still got a bag and a half left.

Air is good, and cien nappies are what they sell as dryups on babyonine, so extra extra cheap. They are our main nappy and we have never had leakage.

I bought the Cien nappies as daytime (cheapy) nappies and have found them better than the huggies that I was using at night. So now use the Ciens at night and am running out the Huggies

The Cien ones sound quite good but are they really that much cheaper? They seem to work out to $0.39 a nappy medium size (according to the website), and you can get Huggies on special and they work out at around $0.44 each so only $0.05 difference?? At around 6 nappies a day, that's less than $30 savings over 3 months? Are the Cien cheaper anywhere else?
We use Huggies BTW and have always been quite happy, we stock-pile when they are on special

Thanks all the recommendations. Going to try treasures ultra tonight and then going to pop into my local nappies for less store and grab a couple of samples of the brands you guys mentioned.

Cheers

tried the ultra last night, with no accidents, will give the other brands a go and see what works out price wise. Am using half cloth during the day, so it shouldn't be too bad

If you want to keep using huggies I'd go up a size, I'm going to go up to toddler with Caprece soon because we have been having leaks too.

We had huge problems with Treasure Ultra so we changed to Huggies and didn't have a problem until Keziah was going between the newborn and infant size, everything was escaping (ewww gross).. but there are no problems now that we are on the next size up and although they are a little big at this stage she is growing like a weed and will fill out in no time

Bel, they say you can't be certain, but I have never had a different brand turn up.

I prefer huggies at night time. We have no problem with them for Hayley. We only had one incident with huggies but that was because the tag came un-stuck as the nappy had gotten too small for her (we have only just moved out of newborn huggies to infant). Used the infant girls one night (and this was a long night she slept for ages) and had no probs.

Do have prob with treasures at night with her so only use them in the day and a cheap nappy from the warehouse at night (and they work...go figure the cheaper ones sometimes are the better ones...)
It is all trial and error.

I have had the same issue and tried so many different brands. In the end we found we had to use two huggies - the bigger size on the top. Seems ridiculous I know but it has definitely worked. We also reuse the top Nappy a lot of the time so it isn't so bad expense wise.
Just another option if nothing else works out for you.
Good luck - speaking from experience there is nothing worse that bed changes in the middle of the night!
