You know, weird thing for me is that I sleep better now than I have pretty much ever! I do wake up a couple of times for bathroom visits but have figured out that if I don't concentrate on being awake and keep that sleepy feeling going I can hop back into bed and go straight back to sleep. It is hard trying to manoevour the bump round though!! And I get sore legs sometimes.

It's preparing you for being awake with bubs

Seriously tho, a lot of women experience insomnia during pregnancy, I've read that it's because the baby's metabolism is going 24-7 whereas ours usually slows down at night so we aren't used to having it going on full power while we are asleep.

I've been waking in the middle of the night since early on in my pregnancy, and I thought too that it wasn't bladder related since I never feel like I NEED to pee when I wake up. I've noticed though, if I just try to go back to sleep, it's incredibly hard and though I'll get there eventually, I might end up lying awake for an hour or more. If I actually get up and go to the loo, then I can get back to sleep straight away. Try it and see if it works for you, you might be surprised!
