Topic: Puppy names - need help! Posted: 01 February 2008 at 7:45pm |
My mummas bestie - her little dog was killed on the road a couple of weeks ago and she was real cut up about it.
My brother decided he wanted to get her another puppy - we have gone halves on it.
Finally he got it today, it's a mini foxy/jack russell cross. I haven't actually seen it but it's quite a small little thing and a female.
My mumma has no clue what to call it.
Any ideas? (cause I have none!)

That's a really nice thing for you to do.
I'd love to have a little girl dog called Lucy. Don't know why.

My mum breed miniature daschunds and all the puppies have to have unique names to be registered as pedigrees.
We used all sorts of inspiration - sports players, horse names, some with straight forward childrens names, we did one litter with musical terms, some were more obvious like we named a chocolate coloured pup Milo.
Lucy is a cute name for a little dog, how about Jazz does she have any markings?

I like "Latte" but it might sound strange calling it out in the park, could get her some very funny looks.
My old dogs were called Rebel and Nazir (naz ear)he was a character on and old programme called "robin of sherwood"
Our neighbors dog is Havoc but I get muddled and call him Chaos they are both pretty cool names. hmmmm but they all sound like boy names.
I'm really not keen on Dogs having normal human names.

My BIL has a Bull mastiff called Bass (as in Bass Guitar) it's a cool name for a very huge cool dog.
hmmmmm can you tell I really want a new dog I keep coming back to look at this thread. I fell in love with a puppy the other day at the pet shop he was a Lab/hunterway cross I'd say he'd be pretty clever.
