Topic: What did everyone feel? Posted: 13 March 2008 at 9:43am |
Hey Ladies,
I am not pregnant, well I am on the wait to do a test so i am unsure.
But I just wondered what made everyone do a test? What sorts of symptoms were you having?
I don't know if this is me just being anxious but the last few nights i have had really bad sleeps and it has taken me ages to get to sleep, doesn't normally happen for me, especially if i am really tired.
Last night i even felt like i was going to be sick so i had to sit up to make the feeling go away. I have noticed i am also eating a lot more than usual... we will see i guess.
Sooo what about you?
Dani

My earliest symptoms were sore boobs and lots of peeing.
I also had an ambiguous sort of symptom both times which was a very 'heavy' feeling in my uterus, like AF was going to arrive any minute, but of course she didn't!

First time AF was late.
2nd time, I had spotting and AF didn't arrive so I tested as that was weird for me.

With Jack my sister gave me a massage and said I was way more sensitive than usual and I couldn't remember my last AF so I tested.
With Caprece I woke up one night feeling so sick so I tested (BFN) and then tested again a few days later and I was preg.
When are you late for AF? I'd test then if I was you.

My boobs were 'tingly' so I tested. We were trying so I knew when I'd ovulated and was about 10dpo (got a faint positive that early).

We were trying so I was waiting to test anyway. But the month I fell pregnant, before I had tested we'd bought McD's and were driving home and the smell of the french fries made me want to puke. I love maccas so I suspected something must've been up. This was 10 dpo and I got my positive the next morning.

With Ollie I felt constantly tired and nausous (sp?). I'd had what I thought was a light period so didn't suspect I was pregnant until I was about 6 weeks.
With this one we were trying so was waiting to test but I had fairly similar feelings.
All the best! I hope its a BFP for you

My gums started bleeding when I brushed my teeth! That was the earliest sign, then of course missed AF and then sore boobs

I had the same as JD, bleeding gums and then tiredness - so bad that I would want to stop walking to sleep.

I was much the same as Peanut! My first symptom was realising AF was late...i'd felt like my period was about arrive and never did, when I checked the calender I realised I was a couple of days overdue.
The sore boobs and morning sickness didn't kick in until closer to 6 weeks.

I went off the pill and then about 6 weeks went by and no period ... I didn't think I could be pregnant so soon (especially as I had been diagnosed with PCOS and didn't have regular periods off the pill) but I took the test and bingo!
Once I learned I was pregnant, I realised why I had been feeling so tired all the time (like really sleepy especially in the afternoons) but I hadn't noticed anything abnormal apart from that.

I was tired and having broken sleep so I put that down to lots of overtime at work. The first sign that really made me realise something was up was waking up with boobs that were about 2 sizes larger than normal (and then having them go down by lunchtime only to reappear the next morning)

This sounds silly, but my first symptom was my teeth, they felt furry and yucky even an hour or so after brushing! At about 3 weeks I started feeling small waves of dizziness.
I also ate my body weight in tomatoes with salt (ok, not quite, but many many tomatoes hehe)
Waited until AF was late before testing, I wanted to be sure I would get my BFP. Very faint line, but still a BFP

Af was a week late, I couldn't stomach alcohol at all, the smell made me vomit, I got the worst thrush you could ever imagine, my boobs were extremely sore and I was still in denial that I was *actually* pregnant as I kept getting BFN's!!!

one of the women at work asked if I was pregnant as she'd noticed I was really hungry! that made me think that maybe my sore boobs and sudden dislike for blue cheese were significant! i didn't expect to be pregnant - first month of trying. me and DH were in shock for about a week after getting the positive result!
