Topic: I KNEW IT!!!! Posted: 01 April 2008 at 8:36am |
Haha, you might remember me posting a while back that i was completely sure that my younger sister was pregnant with her 4th child, despite her being adamant that she wasn't, despite the fact that she has continued to put on weight in her belly and despite the fact that you can still see she's skinny everywhere else just wearing really huge t-shirts.
Mum told me yesterday, she is. I nearly did a little dance around the room saying "I TOLD YOU SHE WAS!!" lol apparently she only found out 3 weeks ago. bollocks, she's known for longer, how could she not, she's huge. She only has 10 weeks to go. And it's a big baby, and it's another boy. Hopefully they'll tie her tubes while they're in there considering this is her 4th kid, her 4th c-section, in 3 and a half years. She'll now have a 3 and a hlf yr old, a 2 yr old, a 10 mth old and a newborn. and she's not even 20 yet.
hehe, That's my little gloat for the day. It may sound mean, good luck to her, but I am just so happy with myself for being right, lolol. Mum's been in serious denial obviously cos we've been telling her since xmas that carrie looked preggers. Mike and i were just waiting for her to ring one day and say that the baby had arrived.
I am sooooo doing my "I told you so" dance.

She doesn't have them all. My mum has custody of the oldest, the 2yr old was adopted out to a wonderful family. She only has the bubba and then this newbie.
I'm not sure that they'd do her tubes either but she has a few serious other medical problems and is waiting for a hip replacement due to having multiple problems with her bones etc so that might be a push in the right direction. Every time she gets referred back to the specialist she's preggers and they can't do anything,

Well see my older sister (we are a bunch of gossips.. there's 5 girls in our family..) has a friend who has a daughter about the same age as my sister, and she was the first to know cos my little sister was telling her mates that she was a couple of months back, and of course told this girl, who told her mum, who told my sister, who told me. lol, so i asked her about it, we told mum about it, and it confirmed what we had been thinking for ages.. but nooooo she still denied it, and mum was all "no, she's not she's just putting on weight cos of the injection".
Although she's still managed to pull the wool over mum's eyes by playing the victim and telling her she really didn't know and only found out she was preggers 3 weeks ago. I don't know what she was planning to do, have it then say "i didn't even know i was pregnant".
I saw her up town about a month ago and she came up and talked to me, and you could clearly see how preggers she was and i patted her stomach and said "you're pregnant aren't you?" and she still went with the "no i've just gained weight" line.. to which i said "well, if it's just fat then why is it hard" and left it at that. It seriously was no surprise to me, the only person it was a surprise to is my mum.

I dont mean to be, or sound mean, but how can someone so young want that for their life? 4 kids and not even 20? Does she not want anything more from life?
And having had 3 kids you would think he would know shes pregnant, movement etc. Definatly the hard belly!

I have to agree with Emma on that one.
So dont understand how you can be that pregnant and not no.
Was she hiding it for some reason?

Funny how shes smart enough to come up with these devious plans but isn't smart enought to use birth control??
Sorry I don't like being nasty about people I don't know but that really shocks me.

If she is having a 4th csection they may tie her tubes even so young. My friend was told she was not allowed to have anymore children after 4 c sections as it was too dangerous.

Part of me is sitting here, reading this in disbelief and another part of me just isn't surprised! It's so damn common in South Auckland for a young female ...to have 3 or 4 kids to several diff fathers!
Are you sisters 4 kids all to the same father? Does she have custody of the other 3?
I had a close friend in highschool, her sister was a year or so older than us, she dropped out, was very aggressive, always breaking the law & stealing, had her first baby at 16, and then went on to have one every year ...infact I don't think there was a time where she wasn't pregnant between 16yo and 20yo ....she doesn't have custody of her kids, she gives birth and then runs off, leaving her parents to pick up the broken pieces and take on yet another child. All to diff fathers, the second child's father is actuallly the first babies fathers father! (hope that makes sense).
I'm 20, and there's no way in hell i'd opt to have more than one at this stage in life, sure I love babies and I could probably cope with another ...but im happy with lucas and enjoying my time with him, why go and ruin a good thing?
Fingers cross they tie her tubes, otherwise it will just get further out of control ...if it hasn't already?
ETA: sorry i just re-read one of your posts mum2paris and realised she does not have custody of all 3 kids so can my 2nd question lol
