My grandmother died yesterday. yes, she was waaay old. 92. But, the sad thing is she was my Dads mum, and I feel really really sorry for my aunty. She has buried all her brothers and sisters and fathr to cancer, and now Nan. The even sucker thign is that my family (brothers/mother) are a bunch of Drama queens who will all be competeing for the most grieved title, and I am worried that my Aunty, who I think has more loss than all of us, will be swept away in the drama that is my family.

Sorry, rambly.

*sigh* families.

Hugs Annie! Hope the drama queens can keep it to themselves for your aunty's sake. I'm lucky I guess that when my grandfather died everyone accepted that he was in his mid 80's and had had a good innings so no one really grieved a lot, we more celebrated his life. Waaaay less drama than when my nana died quite suddenly years earlier!

Na, Emma, my family are waaay to self centred and spotlight loving for that, lol. Its all about them.

It will be sad as its Dads mum, and his death is still so fresh in our minds. Really really feel for my aunty though. Have tried to imagine what that would be like, burying your whole family. Can't imainge the rest of my fam will be doing that. They will all be squabbling about the will... and it will be worse after the reading, I know whats in there.

Oh that bites and I remember the things that went on when your dad passed away. Hopefully they don't make too much of a drama out of it.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

I'm really sorry for your loss. Even when death is expected, like with the ill or elderly, it can come as a shock and be really hard for all friends and family.

I'll be thinking of you and your aunty and hope that any dramas are small and fleeting.
