Curious G's post made me think of this and it always makes me laugh so I thought I'd share.

When my niece and nephew (17 months apart in age) were toddlers they were notorious for avoiding getting dressed after their baths so my dad would tease them by saying that the bare bottom ducks where going to catch them and bite their bottoms then he would chase them around the room making duck noises and pecking motions with his hand (much to their delight).

One day my sister took them to a local petting zoo and bought them a bag of bread each to feed the birds. The got near the duck pond and all these ducks started crowding towards them knowing that they were about to be fed. My niece and nephew immediately covered their bottoms with their hands to protect them - yes, the same hands that were still holding the bags of bread that the ducks were after. You can guess the rest.

PMSL - poor kids will be scarred for life.

Thank you so much for the good laugh

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!
