Topic: HAPPY MOTHERS DAY Posted: 11 May 2008 at 12:00am |
Thought I'd be the first to jump in and say a HUGE HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all the OB mummies, you are all doing SUCH a wonderful job with your children/families & today is all about US!
Hope you all have a lovely day & that your family spoil you rotten!
Obviously since I am without partner I had to shout myself a present, but that's cool. At least I got something I wanted LOL - a new pair of fluffy flannelette's PJ's.
Soo what did your partners/husbands & kiddies give you?
...HAPPY MOTHERS DAY...

I had mine last weekend as DH is away for about 4-5 weeks, got 2 boxes of choccies and a cool card from Jack with his handprint in it. Go Daddy! We're on a budget (aren't most people?!) so it was perfect for me.
Happy Mothers Day everyone!

Awww Kandice - Happy Mothers Day.
My husband forgot until I reminded him yesterday, then he totally forgot what I had asked for! Not that that is what its about, just annoyed at the lack of thoughtfulness as usual. But I did get a small sleep in, mainly cos I refused to get up!!

Happy Mothers Day
I got nice and spoilt. DH made me yummy pancakes & bacon for breakfast and he gave a me a new top and Ella gave me some chocolates (which she was eying up and I have a feeling I will end up sharing) and a bookmark with photos of her on it.
Although I didn't get what I really want- a peaceful night. Ella has just started teething again, so decided to wake up every couple of hrs and started the day at 6.

He's also just cooked me yummy breakfast of eggs, toast, hashbrowns and fresh orange juice

I got a sleep-in (what i really wanted), and an apron (which i requested). Jake made chcolates at kindy. it was pretty funny. "mummy i made you chocolates, you have to share" and then dished them out himself.
we are having a three generational dinner tonight - mum and nana are coming over for roast lamb. we made them cards and some chcolate and wlnut fudge - special note Becks those walnuts are BEAUTIFUL! the kids have been whacking them with the hammer.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY EVERYONE!!!!
(big hugs to Kandice - kick that boy's butt! And ShellandBella, hope Bella is OK!)
I've been thoroughly spoilt! Maya made me some chocolate brownie and a gorgeous card at school on Fri and has been hiding them in her room, then Willie took her and Mona out early this morning and bought me a dozen yellow roses and two boxes of choccies (which the girls have polished off already). The gremlins gave me a sleep in by not waking up till 8.30am, and Willie made me bacon and eggs for brekkie. So feeling very, very spoilt. Oh and Willie has taken charge of the stew I was going to do for dinner so nothing to do there either!

I made breakfast for DH today!!
He has given me a book (second hand) today but didn't say it was for mothers day. It is "French Women Don't Get Fat". Yet another of the many hints he's dropped recently that he doesn't like the Kg or 2 I put on with he miscarried pregnancy and did lose! He likes skinny woman and I'm not skinny enough it appears! Lovely.

What the heck, Fiona you are TINY. There is no way you need to lose weight, it's hard to even imagine you had a baby, your super skinny. If he thinks otherwise, I'm sorry but he needs his head read. He should love you the way you are.
I could never stand for a guy telling me what to do with MY body or MY life.
