Kandice, I have a feeling that a Farmers card is like a credit card and purchases have to be signed for by the cardholder??? Any one know whether this is true?
I would hate for you to get there and be dissapointed!

I think you can pay however you like you just to have a card (but yep they are basically a credit card with huuuge interest).

The mailer said purchases have to be made on the card. I will have to put some money on mine. It means I can buy Sam the steel craft umbrella stroller for $75!!!

U generally have to make purchases ON the card to recieve a discount but if you have run out of credit on the card they will often allow you to use your eftpos card or cash but the name has to match the card. Im not sure if they will be that kind with a discount like 50% though so you would have to ask.
Also u cant use someone elses card as it is a credit card
It was cool when I worked there because staff were allowed to get the discount without having a farmers card hehe

my sisters coming with me so i can use her farmers card.....annoying as i was just there a month ago when they had their 30% sale and spent $130 on clothes for the kids! could've saved heaps more if it was 50%.....oh well....jack needs a few things that i've been trying to get on TM, but now i'll be able to get stuff brand new for the same price, possibly cheaper!

Yeah whenever they had them when my parents where here I would go shopping with mum and she would pay for it with her card, then I would give her the money and then put money on her card.

Am not 100% sure but think that you can go to the sale and sign up for a card and get the discount on that day. I did that about a year ago and got the discount and they never sent the card. A lady from plunket group - also did this when they had a good sale on nursery stuff about 2 months ago and she got the discount and they never sent the card so could be worth a try.
I think I'll be doing it
