Topic: I want a Baby... Posted: 04 June 2008 at 1:12pm |
I am so so so broody these days. Can start trying in 3 months (waiting for residence, been approved in principal but he changed jobs so another 2 months then paperwork goes in and another month we should have it)
But I am seriously trying here to think of reasons why we cant do it sooner, or at least go off the pill now.
Doesnt help that McKayla is askign for one too. She is now taking her money and giving it to Grant to buy one from the shop. When we said you cant you make it she told me okay we must bake one.
So explained about a sperm cell and an egg cell and when they get together you have an cell that starts dividing ect. So she told Grant when he got home sperm mommy egg baby please. (we didnt explain how that sperm get there btw) Too cute and not helping me here.
So give me reasons why I dont want a baby yet? And no dont encourage me to have one right now. (other reason is my parents are coming in Dec Jan and dont want to be too far along and go in pre term labour with stress. Long story but I dont get along with my mom that well.

Sorry, can't help here. I'm desperately wanting a baby too and am not allowed to start TTC until September (DH's ruling), which isn't too far away now but I've been sooooo patient for soooo many months and *clenches fists and stamps feet in best toddler impression* I want one now!!

I am the same and I want another one now (silly I know) but I have to hold off for at least another 4 months (which is October) so that I don't have 3 chldren with birthdays very close together.

That's a good point Becks, If we concieved soon I'd have 2 April babies. Then again, timing would be perfect for the 20 free childcare hours.
I want to pay off my car, that (and a few other hps) is why we're putting off TTC another 3 months.
p.s. Simone, nice try but you'll have to come up with something better than that for us hopeless cases

LOL. My husband, SIL and niece share a birthday and my nephew, Michaela's godmother and I share a birthday too. It means no matter what at least 2 people will always remember your birthday
I'd love to have a winter/spring baby next time around and get to use the clothes that Michaela never fit in the right season (poor baby, if it turns out to be a boy it will be decked out in pink lace)

Rats. I wasn't feeling clucky until I read this thread.
I think my cluckiness coincides with ovulation. It's terrible.
Good thing I know it'll be gone in a week. ha.

I know so many people having babies at the moment that I can happily cuddle then give back again.
I was holding my friends newborn the other day and while it was very lovely, it actually made me realise that I am enjoying my sleep and the idea of being woken up every 3 hours again is just not appealing!
Plus the terrible twos really kicked in a couple of weeks ago and I don't think I could deal with that and a newborn at the same time!

I can't help, we want one now too but have to wait another 4-6 months....I have another reason though, in that if I were to get pregnant now, I'd be either 9 months pregnant or have just given birth at my wedding....

Pregnancy isn't all it's cracked up to be
Having an energetic toddler makes the next pregnancy soooooo much harder
Oh, what the heck - you get a cute little bundle at the end of it
Sorry, not much help lmao

I want the babykicks and everything. McKayla is playing with my tummy and asking me each night if there is a baby in my tummy now. Man it seriously aint helping. I cant wait when we are pregnant and her sibling actually kicks her.
