Topic: Geek Girl Strikes again!! Posted: 23 June 2008 at 10:54am |
And is taking it to whole new levels of geeky.
Lets see, I'm throughly obssessed with CSI and forensics and one police career option for me is CSA (crime scene attendent eg CSI type thing) BUT I need a forensic qualification. BUT to get into that I need a science degree with at least a B- average. WTF? I haven't done science since 5th form at school.
Soooo I'm left with 2 options...quit my moaning and switch to a science degree with a heavy dose of Chemistry and Biochemistry OR quit my moaning and find another career option once in the police.
Guess which one I chose? Give you a clue. Not option B.
Wish me luck for next semster as I take on Sociology, Psychology and Intro Chem. ACK!!! (and yet so exciting!!!!)

Tell me about it! Part of me wonders what the heck I think I'm doing. But the bigger part wonders what would happen if I didn't try. I'd spend more time that I care to think about wishing and dreaming and wondering "what if??"
So this crazy chick is giving it all I got!!!! ACCCCCCCCCK!

Sweet! that's the paper I'm doing through Massey too! Are you doing it next semester?

Thank you!

Yep the basic intro chem paper that is just like 7th form Chemistry (123.103 I think it is). I know the books I have aren't the ones that they say to get but they are pretty much the same as they have all the info in them for social and brain psych, and I can give you a cheap deal (after how much they cost me to buy them brand new).

Yay Gen! Go you! I did a couple of psych papers at undergrad level but worked out that I make a better patient than a therapist
Best of luck next semester - which is only a few weeks away!

There is always someone who has to point out the bad huh? I was trying to forget it's only a few weeks away....actually I'm itching to start now....oh how innocent I am!
Of course my loan has to go through for last semester before I can add all the other papers for this semester and for summer school...2 more weeks until I'm official! ACK!

Wow I wasnt very good at science in school, I also love those sorts of crime investgation programs, but I wouldnt be able to do the study to get there
I am instead studying BACC at Massey (Accountancy) but have stopped as last semster was such a struggle being so tired. Ill start up again prob a year after bub is born so I can spend all my time with my little one.
