Last year DH & I took the day off work and took Caitlin to the zoo for her birthday (just us - it was great ). One of those odd sunny days in winter.

We want to do the same this year but where?!?!?!

I don't want to do to Kelly Tarltons because it's crap and over priced lol Chipmunks is no good because she's going there for her birthday party.

Your suggestions please

I have drawn a complete blank...

When it was just Conor and I we caught the ferry to Devonport and got Fish and Chips...might be too cold for it though.

Maybe it's a little too young for her to do yet, but do you have a Beadz Unlimited store near you? You could take her to make her own necklace or bracelet. Or what about Swish Dish where she can paint her own dish and get it glazed.

I remember Ashlee's birthday last year was a beautiful day too!

Haha we did exactly the same last year (Hamilton Zoo though) and also draw a blank this year. We thought about the Waitomo Caves but I think she is too young still for that. So we ended up going to the zoo again    It was another stunning day and she really enjoyed it this year!

We are also thinking this year of doing something fun on the day and just have a party at playcentre the day before. What about Clevedon animal farm? There should be some animal farms that side? Crystal mountain?
