feels so wrong seeing them go from being all gobbly gobbly to seeing them being electrocuted, plucked and hanging there like we're used to seeing on the table. ick.

Made me want to go vege, quite frankly Almost had a wee vomit just watching that first turkey - then turned it off! I love Gordon, but not THAT much.

Yep he got a butcher with a portable homekill setup to come in and 'do' all his turkeys, I wish they'd warned me somehow! *shudder*

Do you guys eat turkey at Xmas? Is it just that you saw it happening or the fact that it was happening at all? Just curious?

I wasn't fazed by it at all.. just thought it was a good fast death and none of them seemed to suffer. I was just wondering how great they would end up tasting once GR has finished with them

I'm starting to have a problem with it happening at all, though I still eat meat occasionally at the moment.

The reason why I am a vege. I see no point in eating something that obviously goes through pain in order for humans to eat.
I much prefer tofurkey....

Can you get tofurkey here !? I have only just started seeing vegetarian mince in the supermarket, though fortunately regular tofu plus vege saussies have been available for a while. Now to convince DH to eat them!
