I've just finished 'Collapse- how societies choose to fail or survive' by Jared Diamond and also 'Glitz' by Louise Bagshawe Both were good in their own way. I usually always read something non-fiction/stimulating/educational with something fluffy so I can pick between the 2 depending on what mood I am in.
I've just started 'Capitalism- as if the world matters' by Jonathon Porritt which is reeaally interesting but also one of those books that makes you feel a bit hopeless and incredibly frustrated with humanity And my bit of fluff is some trashy thing I can't remember the name of

I've just finished 19 Minutes by Jodi Picoult.
Before I move onto my next "big" book (haven't decided what, yet), I'm reading the Shopaholic series and my sister (bless her heart) is lending me her Gossip Girl books this weekend.
I'm so excited

I recently finished The Bourne Identity by Robert Ludlum and am waiting for The Bourne Supremacy to arrive (bought it off TM).
After I finish the Bourne series I'm going to read The Secret Life of Bees.

What's Mao's Last Dance about, Suzie? Sounds interesting...
I'm reading 'Chart Throb' by Ben Elton. It's very amusing. I alternate between mind candy and stimulating books too.

I am readin mind candy at the moment too, some totally pointless book about a publicist in Hollywood, So 5 minutes Ago.
It depends on Fay's attention span when we go to the library, if she is having a good few minutes i have time to look for books i want, but otherwise it's grab two and get them to the counter before she makes a run for the door

You're a good person renting them from the library! I buy them every time, because library books ALWAYS need to be renewed again and again then returned before I'm finished with them. I don't make a lot of time for reading though I enjoy it. So I always buy them cheap, then give them away to someone when I'm done!

I have Perfect Picture at the moment to read. I have just finished The Memory Keeper's Daughter - an amazing book.

One of the top books I have read is called Clan of the Cave Bear by Jean M Auel. It was very interesting and you learn about it about the time where it takes place.
At the moment I am reading Stephanie Meyer New Moon, now that is a teenager book but if you want something light hearted the first book Eclipise is quite good. And I dont read teenager books lol.

'The Secret Life of a Slummy Mummy' by Fiona Neill. My sister bought it for me before LO was born ... not sure how much I should read into that!
Definitely an 'easy read' but entertaining and very amusing :) Things that I would never have believed pre-baby but now seem very normal

Have just finished the Chocolate Lovers Club adn Chocolate Lovers Diet. Both are very light and fluffy, but don't read if you're craving chocolate!
Am currently reading One Two Buckle my Shoe (Agatha Christie) and am psyching myself up to read Jodi Piccoult's latest, Change of Heart. I hate reading about people on death row waiting to die, but love most of her books, so hopefully will be reasonably enjoyable!
If you need other suggestions, check out this thread: Books
