Topic: Cheap excercise at home? Posted: 18 September 2008 at 2:18pm |
I want to do excercise at home without buying expensive equipment, or anything at all if possible.
I have good walking/running shoes, and Im going for short walks with Isla most days lately.
I would especially like to start strengthening my stomach muscles, but sit-ups hurt my neck.
Any suggestions would be great!

I agree, pilates is fantastic for working your core muscles and you can pick up DVDs pretty cheap of TM. I love yoga too and also do weights at home using DVDs.

Check out this range. It includes yoga and pilates DVDs and a few other belly focussed workouts. http://deniseaustin.shop.sportstoday.com/Dept.aspx?cp=11491_11998
I use her "shrink your female fat zones" DVD a couple of times a week and find it really good. She can be a bit cheesy but the workout is good and she looks amazing considering she's 51 and has had 2 kids so she must be doing something right.
If you don't have a credit card you can sometimes get her stuff off TM.

Did you see the pregnancy exercise DVD on there? I want to get that one but I don't want to tempt fate. She does a bounce back post-baby one too which I saw in her shop - I needed that a couple of years ago.

I do TurboJam and am going to do Pilates too (don't know which ones I have). TurboJam is awesome, incredibly cheesy but well worth it. The workouts are pretty intense.
