for those of you who did BF while pregnant
1)How old was your child when you got pregnant
2)Did you continue to BF right through out your pregnancy
3) if your older child was under 2 years did you continue to BF them as well as the baby?

I think Lycan was 1.5 years when i got pregnant. He is now 2 and i am still BFing him. Hopefully he will be off by the time the new baby arrives in 6 weeks but if he not oh well i;ll just have to feed them both.
Was there any reason why you wanted to know?

1)How old was your child when you got pregnant Alyssa was about 1 1/2
2)Did you continue to BF right through out your pregnancy No, I never intended on still bf'ing when the baby arrived so made an effort to wean Alyssa asap (especially because I found it painful).. Ended up stopping when I was around 2-3 months preg if I recall correctly?

i stopped feeding both of mine when i was about 2 months pregnant with the next. it just got too draining for me, especially this last pregnancy trying to breastfeed a 2 yr old.

I *think* but not a hundred percent sure that Caitlyn's stepmum bf both her sons for a while , then the older one more or less self weaned

I haven't BF but was reading an article on it the other day. It was saying that some children will self wean during pregnancy and if they do it is usually around 5 months of pregnancy as that is when the composition/taste of the milk may change.
Good Luck.

hi there, this is a question i have been wanting to ask also as we will start trying for #2 once our little one is 6 months (my minimum commitment to b/feeding him). my sister sent me this link which i've found quite useful http://www.kellymom.com/bf/tandem/index.html
it's american but it has lots of positive and useful info. it does seem that tandem nursing is definitely doable. my biggest worry has been that he will self-wean and miss out on all the milky goodness he deserves.

1)How old was your child when you got pregnant
10mos, 11mos
Also got pg when Briona was just 6mos but I miscarried right away (I don't blame the bf for that).
2)Did you continue to BF right through out your pregnancy
No way! I usually weigh less than 60kg so when I found out I was pg (and exhausted), I decided eating for 2 was enough.
3) if your older child was under 2 years did you continue to BF them as well as the baby?
N/A

1)How old was your child when you got pregnant
8 months
2)Did you continue to BF right through out your pregnancy
For 5 months, I wanted to tandem feed but it got too painful and Jack didn't really want it anymore so it seemed easier to stop than battle.
3) if your older child was under 2 years did you continue to BF them as well as the baby? -
As long as you keep your protein up its fine, unborn baby gets first pick of nutrients and then bf baby second. If your body can't keep it your milk will stop before the unborn baby is affected. I'm quite small as well but had no problem with my milk supply, I was tired but thats pregnancy for ya.
Good luck

1) 10 months old
2) Yes no worries at all
3) Yes tandem fed for just over a year
Second Time
1) 15 months old
2) Yes no worries
3) Yes still going with the tandem feeding.
I have been breast feeding non-stop since Alex was born.... Nearly 4 years with no stopping... Almost seems insane LOL

13 months
2)Did you continue to BF right through out your pregnancy
Continued til I was about 5 months preg, I couldn't handle being pregnant, working full-time and breastfeeding! Plus b/feeding was beginning to hurt!

n/a - but I have a friend who is tandem feeding her 9 month old and 2 1/4 year old.
Oooh exciting Jasmine, so S has come around to the idea of another?

we kind of think a 2-3 year gap would be ideal (if there is such a thing hahaha) so would need to start trying Feb next year..which gives me a bit more time to lose some more weight.
