Depends on what you are buying, I would think ofgood condition as meaning it is still in working order with no faults and looks good but used. Does that make sense?

would depend what it is but basically something that has a little wear but still usable. A top for example I would want to be able to wear it and not feel sloppy, no stains or rips etc. Anything like that should be noted in the description

Umm... usable straight away, no extra marks/scratches/stains/holes that were not mentioned in the auction...

If I'm selling something "in good condition" I mean that it's clean and tidy, obviously used but still has lots of use left in it.

I agree with what Becca said, any minor marks etc mentioned but otherwise still very usable and not grotty looking at all.

I agree with everyone else so far, but also would say that it can vary depending on what it is you're buying...

I agree. "mint" would to me, mean looks like new, "good" would mean looks used but would still be able to be used as described, and no obvious defeects.

Ok, perhaps I should describe what I purchased... It was a book and yes it was very cheap however the condition was noted as good, it has arrived and it is very ripped down the spine, of a condition I would consider Very well loved.

Sorry babe but that is not what I would not call that being in good condition and would be having words with the trader!

I'd advise them to be careful of how they describe the condition (I am always on err on the safe side when describing stuff) but maybe resign yourself to the fact that you will have to make repairs by yourself

Maybe you should email them first with the complaint?? and see what they have to say...?

I agree with emailing first as if they take your feedback badly then they are likely to place something nasty in your comments which would bring your rating down, regardless of whether or not it was deserved...

that is what really annoys me about trade me. People get really catty with the feedback and if they get a bad one they feel the need to place a bad one against you.

i've had bad ones placed against me when i've complained about things i bought. i would do as the other ladies have suggested and just email them stating you were unhappy with the condition of the book. then if they disagree, you can place bad feedback.
if they then place bad feedback on you, at least you can put a reply on it and say it was there problem.

Yeah I also agree with what all the other ladies have said. If someone told me that a book was in good condition I would expect it to be intact with no rips or stains, but look like it has been read, does that make sense?
But yeah email them first as you really don't want to have bad feedback placed against you when you have done nothing wrong.

I wonder if this is common when buying books on trade me as I have had a couple of books arrive in worse condition than I expected. In the end I decided not to do anything because they too were very cheap. But I probably should have....

< language=> I would say email them & then place no feedback. i wasnt happy with how long a person took to send me an item it took her 3 weeks when I emailed she said she had been away to which I said well it would have been nice if she had told me and i never got an answer back so i didnt place feedback as she hadnt done any to me & i didnt want bad feedbak rating either.
