I think Caden might be teething, the last few days he has been SO SO grumpy, like very grizzly and fussy, especially when having his bottle, he just crys all the time and today he has been quite tired,
He is drinking 180mls with no problems but it can take a wee while.
He is chewing on everything in site especially his fingers and hand, and he has started to chew his tounge and seems to be rubbing it along his gums, it looks like he is chewing gum lol. He is also extremly dribbly.

is this just normal 4 months old behaviour or do you think he is not far off teething ot is teething?

His teeth could be moving about. But don't expect a tooth to pop through. Daniel started that at 4 months and didn't get teeth til 9 months (i think - mummy brain not functioning properly lol).

Is he normally a dribbler? If not then he could be teething.
Wetting and freezing a clean cloth that he can chew on my help. I am trying at the moment the NautroPhalm (sp??) homeopathic Teething Med spray. Can't say though whether it is working too well as I keep forgetting to give it to him!

ETA: Although I agree with Kebakat that their teeth can move around a bit before popping through, Jack's first tooth cut at 5mths and he didn't show signs for too long before it cut. He then averaged a new tooth every 2wks!

Chiara has taken to chewing ferociously on her fists of late, I think it's just a developmental stage for her atm. Can't remember when the others started chewing things but I know Maya's first tooth was visible under the gum at 3 mths but didn't actually cut till 5 months.

Each bubba is so different when it comes to teething huh? Jimmy first started displaying similar "teething" symptons as Caden at around 4 months - he's now 10 months and still a wee gummy boy - not one tooth has popped through yet! The symptoms come and go, sometimes several weeks apart etc.

Do you have a teething ring or something similar for Caden to chew on?

I have tried to look at his gums but he doesnt keep still long enough foe me to do it lol, and when i put my finger in his mouth he tries to lick it so his tounge gets in the way lol, he cracks me up.

My little girl started like that when she was three months old. When I asked the Plunket nurse if she was teething she said it was too early and all 3 months old babies would chew their hands because they can. But a few weeks later, when Alani turned 4 months the first two teeth cut through. Some babies are early teethers, some are late. It could very well be teething with your little boy.

Sam started around the same time, and cut his two bottom front teeth at 3 months old.    It's hard to get a look in their mouths though! Sam used to bite down really hard with his gums on my fingers

Chloe started the same kind of behaviour around 4 months, and had red cheeks and stuff too... I think the teeth were just moving around in her gums. She has only just cut her first two teeth.
Chloe (4 years) and Oliver (3 years).

Sounds like he could be teething , and as all babies are different they could move around and not come through for a little while, or they may come through fairly soon , ...has he got red cheeks too, sometimes (not all the time ) they get red cheeks as well when teething , (tho Caitlyn never did )
Have you got any teething things for him ? and bonjela etc will probably make it more comfortable for him ,even if it is the teeth moving , it will still soothe the gums a bit
