Kyah has ended her battle with Neuroblastoma with her mum and dad there by her side.
This girl has been such an amazing inspiration to many all over the country, and to know that she is no longer in pain is a relief. My thoughts and prayers go out to Shanell, Jason and the boys, and to all the Christian and Milne family. I can't believe how much this little girl has affected me, and I am so thankful for being able to read through her journey. She has done more in her tiny life and any of us could imagine.

RIP baby girl, we know that you will be watching over your family...with your beloved giraffe....doing it your way.

Thank God for releasing her from the pain.  Bless her wee soul and bless her friends and family who are left to mourn.

Rest in peace Kyah.

It's just so unfair, these parents loved their daughter to bits. And then there are the cases out there like Nia.

I am relieved Kyah has passed and is free of her pain and I am also relieved her family can begin the mourning process and start to move on with life, which is what Jason had posted a week or so ago. They are an amazing family and their strength has been incredible.

I was just reading the journey a wee while ago hoping that it would end soon for her. Doesn't make it any easier for the family though huh.

Rest in peace gorgeous wee girl

Words fail me , so as usual I'll let the words of a song do my talking .

RIP you incredible ,brave , amazing little girl

FLY

Fly, fly little wing
Fly beyond imagining
The softest cloud, the whitest dove
Upon the wind of heaven's love
Past the planets and the stars
Leave this lonely world of ours
Escape the sorrow and the pain
And fly again

Fly, fly precious one
Your endless journey has begun
Take your gentle happiness
Far too beautiful for this
Cross over to the other shore
There is peace forevermore
But hold this mem'ry bittersweet
Until we meet

Fly, fly do not fear
Don't waste a breath, don't shed a tear
Your heart is pure, your soul is free
Be on your way, don't wait for me
Above the universe you'll climb
On beyond the hands of time
The moon will rise, the sun will set
But I won't forget

Fly, fly little wing
Fly where only angels sing
Fly away, the time is right
Go now, find the light

It is amazing how many people Kyah has affected and she will never know. I sat for hours with livejournal open trying to think of a comment to write, but seriously, what can you say to parents who have just lost their little girl?

Rest in peace Kyah

I know...the mind does boggle sometimes @ Nia comment. Her journey has touched me in so many ways. It's all too easy to forget that their are children, parents, families out there in our communities who are affected by cancer everyday. Kyah. Shanell, Jason, and the boys have taught me never to take things for granted. They say that 1 in every 3 people is affected by cancer in some way...that's high odds isn't it? My aunty had breast cancer a few years ago, and my uncle had prostate cancer a few years ago as well. They are both in remission and are doing extremely well. Learning about how much of a part Child Cancer Foundation and Ronald McDonald house played in the Christian-Milne family has made me want to do my bit to help out. So now I've signed up for the Molenberg SubSeries 5Km run in March 2009, in the hope to raise money for my first charity CCF.... I already have one donation! Thank you Kathyand bub

I think as I find more events I want to take part in I'll fundraise for a charity each time. It's just a little thing that I can do to raise awareness.

R.I.P wee Kyah you have touched many lives, now you can be free.

Her journey has touched me too Eva I've volunteered to collect for CCF and will be giving blood next week. Its only little things I only wish I could do more.

So glad she is finally free and at peace.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!
