There's been a bit of media coverage recently about how heating plastic can release a chemical called BPA into the liquid/food. (BPA can apparently cause reproductive problems, early periods in girls etc. I decided to change to glass after reading the latest Parents Centre mag on the issue.)
I'm not sure if TT bottles contain BPA, but I know that Avent - which we use, I have an Avent breastpump - do.
We bought the Evenflo glass bottles from
Nature Baby. Clara took to it easily, but it does take her longer to empty the bottle, as she has to keep pulling away for air. (Is that because of the rigidity of the glass? Or maybe it's just the different shape). Nature Baby also sells the Green to Grow BPA-free plastic bottles, which come in a wide-neck size if you're worried about wind. (They were three times the price though, which I couldn't justify as we're only giving her one feed a day with a bottle.)
