DS has a Runna bike which is good,....just make sure u check the height as some are made for 3 yrs up or taller kids,...we got DS's when he was 2yrs and he can only just manage it now due to his height,..or lack of

We bought the wishbone trike. It goes from 3-wheeler to a 2 wheel balance bike so lasts from really young till they're 5 or so.. .and you can customise it with graphics and a coloured seat... Our boy is just coming up 1 so he's getting it for his Christmas

DS got the wishbone bike for his 2nd birthday and it is the BEST! He absolutely loves it and spends nearly every day riding on it. He isn't the biggest 2 year old, so all the other bikes would have been too big for him and I really like it starts off as a 3 wheeler so he can his confidence on it first. Gets lots of comments on it as well, whenever we take it to the park.

i have heard the mocka is also good. I think the main thing is to measure the inside of his leg and see if he will be able to ride it now

I've heard the Mocka one is good too. I've got lots of other Mocka products and all have been brilliant.. Register for their newsletter or watch their FB page and it might come up on sale shortly...

If you can get a Like-A-Bike, their geometry seems a bit better. They don't have such a long reach to the handlebars so are easier to control /steer than some of the other models. So check the distance between seat and handlebars too

Highly recommend DS "JD Bug" not wooden one though.... has a really high range of heights. I bought it for DS for Christmas when he was 2.5

We've just given the twins the Wishbone bikes for their second birthday (they can just reach the ground on them). I also like the fact they are a 3 wheeler so they can learn the riding bit before the balance bit.
I have friends with the Mocka one who love it.
ETA - those LikeaBikes look great! My two have to stretch to reach the handlebars on the Wishbones so those would have been perfect.

the mocka bikes are great! runna bikes are also good and will replace parts for free sometimes!
I would be inclined to get one you can add pedals on to later, the balance part of it really is fantastic but you can save alot if you can find one that adds the pedals later, he will be so much more confident!
i totally rate balance bikes, my son was easily riding his 16inch two wheeler without training wheels at 4 and he is not a big boy!

Azza - we're looking at one for Q's 2nd birthday as well, I love the look of the Mocka ones, but don't know how they work.

We got a super cheap 1-day ones (one was $35) for both our boys and they have been great, my 2yo has super short legs so we flipped the centre bit over and drilled holes for the pins and he's off.

glad you got a mocka Azza - we looked at those, but got a wishbone (family 1st birthday pres) as I wanted a 3 wheeler to 2 wheeler. I've seen loads of kids on mockas though and they look great. Mad loves her bike and has been racing round on it for months. Still on 3 wheels though. Think she needs to be a bit taller for 2 wheels.
We are wishbone fans though - also have the wishbone flip, which was awesome when she was smaller and she still loves it as an indoors wheelie toy.
