Topic: Erins new nappies ! Posted: 21 August 2006 at 3:42pm |
Well, the day has finally come that my little girl has actually moved into the next size of nappy ! We figured it would come about now, she is almost six weeks old, and the newborn size (Huggies) weren't big enough to hold in the "carnage" anymore (as I have come to call it!). We had bought some Infant size nappies about a week or two ago, and they were a bit big then, but not anymore ! And it's only a little thing, but it tugged at my heart a little to think that she's grown so much already - what a sook of a mum I am LOL

Well, we did buy a bulk box of the Infant size today, since at the very least we will probably go through that many... Erin seems to have developed a knack for pooing or peeing in a nappy JUST after we have put a clean one on her !

I was in denial for a long time with Alex...he would continue to leak but I just wasn't ready to go to the next size. DH in the end got some bigger sizes and that was that.
The other area that I find hard is with clothes size and style. I'm all for dressing Alex as a one month old even though he is 8 months. By that I mean dressing him in the all in one outfits. He's not crawling yet so I guess until he does I'll be ok

Jax... Hannah still does it now. Drives me nuts. Especially when it's about 50 cents a nappy and she does it every night!!!! Arghhhh!!!

Just wanted to tell you guys about this excellent brand of nappies we've discovered - Nanny's nappies. They are fantastic, and we've not had any leakages since using them (Joshie seemed to leak almost every day when we were using Huggies - it drove me crazy having to change his entire outfits 2 or 3 times each and every day, and at least once during the night). They are cheaper than huggies or treasures - end up being about 28cents per nappy if you buy in bulk as opposed to about 54cents for huggies. You buy online, and delivery is free round Auckland, and only a couple of dollars elsewhere - www.wholesalenappies.co.nz

Yeah Jack just changed to toddler the other day I hate having to put away the clothes that don't fit anymore.
