Urgent question

If you're breastfeeding they will supply you with food I think (Jake was younger when we went in) but not if you're not. He will get meals if he is the patient but not the parent if not bf'ing. We had nappies supplied but its good to have some so you don't have to keep asking as some wards are stingier with them (and take wipes in case they don't have them). I'd take the buggy, in case you end up needing to pace the halls, or just get out for a bit to get yourself a muffin upstairs!

Take a comfy pillow if you're fussy and have to stay for a while.

When I was in (Wellington) hospital, all milk for Jackson was provided (though they couldn't tell me the brand of the formula), and age-appropriate solids were provided too. No food was supplied for me at all.

The hospital would provide cloth nappies, but not disposables and had horrible little items of clothing available. Towels, blankets, sheets etc all provided.

There were buggies you could borrow, as well as toys etc. I took quite a lot from home (like his playmat, exersaucer etc) just to create a homely feel. We were in for more than a week though.

So, that was at Wellington. I think Starship is probably better in terms of surrounds, but they probably provide the same stuff. You could call the hospital to see if they have buggies?

Oh, and the dishwashing liquid and bottle brushes were always disappearing, so I took my own.

Hugs, hope he is doing OK. The buggy is a good idea, lil miss slept in hers for an entire 5-day stay once coz she refused to sleep in the hospital cot.
