It does sound like it - I always found once I had finished peeing it felt like I still needed to pee but nothing would come out.... once it gets worse it will feel like you're peeing razorblades    Definately get yourself to the doc to get some antibiotics

Ural sachets work well - I also find that drinking loads of water can help but if its that bad, yeah, a trip to the doctor might be on order.

AB's are the quickest way but as well as that down lots of Cranberry Juice. Make sure it is genuine cranberry though not the flavoured 3 lt type stuff. I find that it works esp if just in the early stages. I also take cranberry capsules at the same time. Avoid caffeine and alcohol for a couple of days too as this irritates the bladder and drink heaps of water.

They are the worst things ever to have!!

Hey Jack&Charli - I would go to the doctor - I had exactly that a week ago, took Ural which helped clear it for a few days but last night I was in agony.. just got back from the doctors and I now have a kidney infection. Not very nice at all and I feel like crap!

Hope you feel better soon

The Ural sachets only neutralise the pee so stop it stinging. The cranberry juice will actually kill the bacteria as well so I would be doing both. Drinking lots of water has a similar effect to the ural sachets as it dilutes the urine meaning it doesn't sting.

Hope that helps.

Agree with Anna, cranberry juice and ural will only get you so far. If no improvement by tomorrow, I'd be off to the Dr. I got a UTI after having Lydia, which rapidly spread to my kidneys, and then to my blood, and was back in hospital for 4 days for IV antibiotics for septicaemia (NOT FUN!!!). So, please don't let it get too bad...

Have to agree about not letting it go on for too long. While I haven't quite got to the stage some of these ladies have, its gotten pretty painful and yuck and happened quickly too.

Hope you get better quickly!

The ural is great at relieving pain, but it actually neutralizes the acid in your urine, which in turn enables the infection to get alot worse.

Lots and lots and LOTS of water helps I have found :)

when i got Uti during one of my pregnancies - i got told by the OB to have cranberry juice (with soda water if I wanted to) and Vit c together. ural takes the stinging away (but tastes discusting) drink plenty of water to try and wash it out.
