Topic: GRRR flippen courier post! Posted: 30 November 2009 at 5:30pm |
my mum's been waiting for her chrisco vouchers all flippen month
she's been home most the last 3 weeks waiting,
Thursday afternoon she comes over for Aidan's birthday and stays till yesterday right
so gets home to a card to call dated Saturday.
rings this morning to rearrange delivery and told tonight or tomorrow.
ring this afternoon to double check when it will be and she is then told
'sorry we have already tried to redeliver this parcel to you TWICE'
ummm what the hell. she was only left a card to call for the Saturday but NO apparently they had tried Wednesday afternoon but they had not left her a card then!
so she rings me in tears and I then promptly ring the courier company and the first thing I ask is, what is the policy if a parcel is 'apparently' tried to be delivered twice but there is no card left on the first day
she said 'its there error and the courier driver must leave a card if no one is home
well at that stage I hang up as I didn't have mums card number.
I ring back and OMG the person I spoke to was so flippen rude, she kept cutting me off saying its our fault for not being home blah blah. I just hang up
ring back got someone else who also said it was there error but would not resend it out as 'they said because its been delivered twice' blah blah
I said who is they - oh the courier company. I promptly ask to be put through but she refused!
so now we have to go to the courier depot by flippen Wednesday
I had a few harsh words to the person this time. I'm so flippen mad!
how on earth are we going to get there with no f**ken car
stupid flippen people, why do you think we had it couriered for!

That's real dumb if it was there fault the first time!
What depot are they making you go to? What do they do with the parcel if you dont get there by Wednesday?

they usually send it back to the sender...
Stupid Courier post...I have to deal with them on a regular basis and they are rude and dumb. I swear the drivers wait round the corner for you to leave your house and then try to deliver.
Hugs to you, hope your mum gets her vouchers.

I have had the same problems with them, in 4 different cities! They are useless, it seems to be that rather than knocking on the door, they just shove a card in the box and drive off. Why is it so hard to walk the extra few metres???!!! They don't even attempt to establish if you are home or not, they are probably running late or cant be bothered...who knows? Maybe they get away with it most of the time because a lot of people aren't home during the day.
Last time it nearly happened I was at home and busted the courier putting the card in the mailbox and confronted her, she was really embarrassed and got the parcel out of her van.
Maybe Target should have a look at couriers? Tastic i would ring them back and tell them to deliver it ASAP and you will drop the matter, otherwise it will be going further.
hehe sorry for the vent, but this is one of my pet peeves!

Tastic I would be calling the courier company as well and putting a rocket up them.
We had trouble with Courier Post last time I was home. They were meant to be delivering something and left a card to say they'd called at 8am when I was HOME. So I called the company and complained, I wish I'd followed it up (even though I got the parcel in the end) because I also think the drivers just put the card in the box without even knocking on the door.
When do they think they came round the other time? If there was no card I would be demanding they bring it round again!!!

I hear you squoggs...the couriers that come here ring doorbell or just knock (we can't hear a knock), turn and start back to the van...I answer the door and they are getting into the van....Makes me sooo mad.

Urgh.. this morning I had the opposite. The Courier Post driver hammering on our door and ringing the doorbell several times while I rushed to put my boob away (was feeding the baby) and answer the door. He was so impatient!!!

That is poor service Tastic. Don't know if it helps but I live over near the airport. If they have dropped it at that depot I don't mind picking it up for you guys Then you could get it from me at your leisure.

apparently they said the courier came on Wednesday the 25th - my mum was home all day! and apparently they came 2 flippen times! (what a crock of sh*t really)
then again on Saturday and this time they left a card
I rang them back and had a few harsh words to say but still no luck getting it delivered
My mum is going to ring my brother and see if he can take her
if she hasn't picked them up by Wednesday they get sent back to chriscos who have said they will then charge her to resend them!
I even asked if they could get them dropped off at a closer post office but they bluntly refused!
Im going to be writing a letter/email of complaint and see what happens!

Sunnyhoney - we must have the same driver, ours does that too - knock, then walk away before you even have 2 seconds to get to the door. Unless I see him pull in from the lounge, I'm screwed.
I must say tho, that we deal with a lot of couriers from a variety of different companies at work and they are almost always friendly and helpful, so I think our local one is an exception.

I had similar probs with Fastway couriers, and the nearest depot is ages away! It doesnt say ANYWHERE on the card they leave that they will only attempt re-delivery ONCE! PITA driver turned up in the 5-10 minutes it took me to shoot up the road and pick my son up from school! Then one guy who was doing the run on the usual guys day off told me I could sign something that meant anything with my name on it could be left in a (secure) designated spot with no signature required, so thats what we do now. Luckily I did cos thats who delivered one of our free bottles of wine today

Tastic... I think phone Chrisco and ask them to phone the courier company which will make them jump because they dont want to lose their business...

We usually have really great service from our courier. She's a sweetheart.
However, the other week I came home to find a card-to-call jammed in my gate and a cell phone lying on my driveway.
The cell phone had a name on it, which matched the card-to-call signature.
So I called the courier company to say I'd missed a delivery and that I thought I had the courier's cell phone.
She paged the courier's scanner to say I had it, so he (a different one than usual) arrived 10 minutes later.
I went out to give him his phone.
He raced to the gate, without my package. So I asked for it.
He said "We'll re-deliver it on Saturday, or you can go on to our website to organise an earlier time"
I said "well, you're here now..."
He said "I'm in a hurry..."
So I said "Well, how about I hold on to your cell phone until Saturday"
He gave me my package
But still, that's pretty slack tastic.
Good luck with the complaint. Let us know how you get on

that's a bit off wasn't it Mamapickle! Dumb couriers.
I had a package delivered yesterday only I was having a nap and they left a card. They came this morning with a package for my flatmate and I asked for mine "it will be delivered this afternoon" grr. If they are that busy etc etc why don't they organise themselves better.
Lol, had a dream last night about my package...when I rang up to arrange redelivery they said they were going to charge my $45 to redeliver LOL I got so MAD...but just a dream...
