Topic: Fantasy Cave Posted: 20 December 2006 at 9:17am |
Anyone that is passing through Dannevirke in the next few days (or next Christmas time!) should go check out Fantasy Cave. It is awesome and has become quite a popular attraction. It has been open since I was little but it is amazing now and every year it is a little different. There are a whole series of scenes from nursery rhymes and fairy tales. Hannah just loved it - all the lights, colours and moving things! Santa is there at the moment, heres our photo (sorry scanned photo, and I'm in it cos Hannah cried when I tried to sit her there by herself!)

Cool Aimee, hey do you know how long Santa will be there? we are planning on visiting on the 29th (checked and it is satill open). and stupid Gisborne has no Santa to visit...unless you count my friend who i convinced to don a santa costume for our playcentre xmas party - and I don't count that. My mum is so exicted about going - i'm sure the kids are just an excuse

Cool pic, Aimee! I'll second that it's worth visiting... I used to work in Dannevirke and spent a lunchtime wandering through the fantasy cave one December - it's pretty cool.

Cute pic I'm not sure if I should even bother with Santa this year, last year Ella screamed for about 10 minutes and I had to leave the shop as everyone was looking at me

I second that, the hair looks good Aimee!
I tend to cycle between cuttingmine all off short and leaving it to grow, usually cos i can't be bothered going back for the constant trims it needs to stay tidy. lol at least now i can tie it up and forget about it.
That fantasy cave sounds kewl, have heard about it before. The one here in farmers is a bit old, they've given it a bit of paint this year but still isn't as 'magical' as what it was when i was little, that's for sure.
Was wanting to do the same thing as you Liz with the pics.. but the day before we were gonna get the girls done, Ayja did that thing to her tooth and now it's getting maybe a bit late to do it.
