Any suggestions welcome!

I have slept horribly the last two nights as my mid to upper back between my shoulder blades gets so sore. It's muscular pain. I've tried pillows in various places, but last night not much relieved the pain. Pain's not so bad if I sit right up without support....but, I've not mastered the art of sleeping in buddah pose!! I've got a few months to go yet, so any suggestions are more than welcome.

Thanks!

If its any help, I have been sleeping in the recovery position, with a pillow under my bent knee. I then put a wheat bag between my shoulder blades to help with the pain (I have an old injury & the muscles tense up quite badly, giving me a headache in the middle of the night).

I have also been taking Panadol Back & Neck (not sure why, cos im sure its the same as bog-standard paracetamol, but it does seem to work). Other things I have done are to burn lavender oil & take Rescue Remedy - just to help me relax so my back un-tenses. Also, I have been making my husband give me back massages before bed, and using a TENS machine on it to help loosen it all up (fantastic things! They cost about $200 but I figured its only the cost of several professional massages, or you can hire them).

Hope something works for you soon - sore backs & lack of sleep SUCK!

Have a read of this, it is a bit different to most of the advice that is out there and worked a treat for me in later pregnancy both times:

I found it very hard to sleep in later stages of pregnancy as my babies were always awake and thumping around from 9pm-6am ish, drove me mental, as soon as I lay down they would go for gold!

I found the best way for me was to sleep on my right side with a tri pillow between my knees and the other part of the pillow under my bump. Other than that, slightly sitting up with cushions everywhere
