Topic: Languishing in Limbo Land Posted: 10 April 2007 at 7:16pm |
I'm running with Kye's suggestion... thanks Kye.
This thread is for those of us who are not really waiting for Ovulation, but not in a 2WW either. Hopefully I am not hanging out here talking to myself all month!!
My situation is that DH and I can not try this month, because of a wedding we MUST attend in January next year. And having a baby during the ceremony would be just plain rude.
So... not TTC again until May. It's gonna be my longest 2WW ever!
Anyway, if I'm in here on my own, then I'll just have to stalk you all, but hopefully someone joins me to hang out.
Moderators? Any chance of pinning the thread?!?

Yay Groupie Kye!!
I'm obviously more emotional with AF than I realised. Just had a wee cry over the Baby Factory ad on TV! How tragic is that?
I really want DH to come home... I'm a bit lost with my own thoughts at the moment.

Hey Laurie
If I am successfull this month, I will be due on about the 5th Jan and my sister is planning on getting married on 31 Dec. I was going to miss ttc, but seen as we have been trying since July 06, I don't really want to miss a month....just in case you know! I am so used to the bfn that I kindof don't think it will happen anyway. Gee this is starting to sound very "poor me" hehehe.
Anyway, good luck for next month to you and good luck for any month for me!

It sucks having to hold of TTC for weddings! We had to stop TTC for 3 months as I had to fly back to NZ for my best friends wedding and couldn't do it with a newborn or too far long in pregnancy. At that point we had been TTC for 10 months and it was so annoying not being able to BD for those 3 cycles. We were naughty and 'slipped up' the last of the ones we were supposed to be waiting- not that it did anything. We did concieve the first cycle back TTC if thats any consolation...

I have three weddings to go to early next year, in December, January and February. I had thought about holding off to after these but figure there is no point in delaying it becuase there will always be something.

DH & I are holding off TTC #2 for a couple of months so I can fly to my SIL's wedding.
It really sucks having to wait coz when you make the decision to start TTC you want to start straight away (well I do!!)

Yeah, it's really frustrating to be waiting. However, this is DHs best friend, he is best man for the wedding, the wedding is in a really remote location and DH hasn't seen his mate since he came back from Canada three years ago specifically to be our best man.
So, we kinda feel we owe him this one!
DHs sister has just got engaged and will be marrying in March next year. So now we just have to figure out if we are going to do the same for her. I don't think so. It would have to be really unlucky to have baby on the exact day, and travel for this one won't be so taxing.

I'm going to be putting things on hold for May/June myself because my brother's wedding is next Feb (down in Palmy North), so don't want to be heavily pg/due/with a super new baby over that time. I figure, what's another couple of months...?

I think I'm in limbo land too...
AF hasn't arrived (should have been sometime this week with cycles of between 30-40 days over the last three months), have tested to a BFN.
I think PCOS has decided to rear it's ugly head again, I had AF every month up until now when we actively started TTC (charting etc), now my body seems to have reverted to its old ways
Good luck to everyone else waiting, I think I'll be joining the party now

To all you out there TTC I am amazed and impressed. DF and I are getting married next March and will be TTC round this time next year. However that means dragging myself and DF out of warm winter jammies I'm not so keen. I can see why more babies are made in summer.
Those of you putting your baby plans off for weddings, that is so considerate and thoughtful of you. I am thankful my MOHs daughter was born the day after our wedding day. It means Maia can celebrate her 1st birthday the next day.
