Topic: Bad news sorry Posted: 13 March 2008 at 4:45pm |
Hi
I think I might be miscarrying. Started cramping on and off this arvo and bleeding light brown- well more staining than bleeding (sorry TMI). Am gutted. Seeing Dr tomorrow for bloods and scan but I don't see how this pg is gonna work out if I"m going through this now at 5 weeks. Cramping comes and goes and at this stage the bleeding isn't steady but think that might change.
Gutted.

Oh no Emmecat, big hugs! That sucks!
I don't want to give you false hope, but I have had two lots of bleeding/spotting with this pregnancy, and had 3 with the gremlins and everything worked out.
I have my fingers crossed for you!

Thanks everyone, am feeling pretty low. I know bleeding is not uncommon...and it seems to have stopped for now but what worries me is the cramping I have had with it. And this niggly lower right pain that I get when I ov has also been steady throughout this last week. Can anyone tell me if this is what the start of a m/c feels like? The nurse didn't sound positive at all when I spoke to her...kept harping on about 'natures way', which I know is true but still

All I can tell you is that everything felt "normal" with mine and I still miscarried. The day before it started I had lower back ache (like I get with af) and a few faint moments. My doc came out with the stupid natures way comment, might be true but that doesn't make it hurt any less.
I have my fingers crossed that it was just a scare, when do they want to do a scan?

I think the Dr might try and get a scan done tomorrow, I really don't know. Not much I can do now except rest with my feet up! The bleeding is not heavy but it still prob shouldn't be happening. I guess we'll see how much my HCG has gone up tomorrow although being Friday I rpob won't get the results back until Monday In which case I'll prob have the answer either way anyway

I had an early m/c like you but hadn't done a pg test for. I just thought it was a heavy AF until the cramping and clotting set in. Everyone m/c differently though.
But I really hope it's not what you think. Hope you get answers soon.
PS I know natures way sounds awful but I think she was trying to reassure you that if you do m/c that's the kindest way on your body.

That really sux. So sorry this is happening.
They say that of people that bleed in early pregnancy about half will miscarry and half will continue with a normal pregnancy. I really really hope you are in the second group.
