I have no idea whether it is affecting us much or not, I should probably ask DH
And on a side note, October 1st is also World Vegetarian Day

We aren't going to get that much I don't think, but with that plus WFF going up it will be a nice little addition to the budget. Good to go towards buying Daniel a big boys bed!

I just looked up the pay period thing as DH gets paid on Thursday. IRD say that as he worked in September it is taxed under the old rates. So 2 more weeks till we get our extra $$$$$

Dagster, the tax cut will take effect from the 1st regardless. And if your pay period covers some days from each, you'll get the september days at the old rate and the october days at the new rate. So when I get paid next week, only some of the days will be at the new rate, and I'll have to wait another fortnight before I get a full pay at the new rate. Does that make sense?

Yay, had forgot about that, we get quite a bit DH gets paid weekly too so we won't need to wait to long to get it.
I just signed up for WFF as well and we get a little something once we have two kids Although DH is due a payrise so then we might not get it

If the period being paid relates to September then it is at the old rates (even though you are getting the money in october)
