I'm sure it is normal.
I'm always truly appalled at how unattractive everything is down there. I always thought men had the worst of it! hehehehe

I understand! I noticed the same thing with Josiah... and my not-so-darling hubby makes comments about something similar happening again... just what I DON'T want to hear!

Yep, I think that the big baby bump that stops you from seeing anything below is nature's way of sparing you from the seeing all the damage that is being done to your nether-regions in the name of child-bearing. If it's any consolation - everything pretty much goes back to normal afterwards...

LOL Becca - aren't husbands great at pointing out things you just don't need to hear? Mine pointed out that to truly make it as a Hindenburg, I'd need to walk around the house making a raspberry blowing noise - otherwise it's just like a silent picture!!!

If you ever get the chance to read Jenny McCarthy's book on her pregnancy and childbirth, she refers to them as the 'swollen blue twinkies' LOL I think it's mostly because of increased circulation in general that things expand a little down there. As far as hedge trimming goes, I made a really half assed attempt the other day in the shower, and then realised I probably should have done it in front of the mirror ! Ah well, I don't think anyone is really going to care when I'm in labour whether things are 'tidy' or not !

Thanks for all the replies. What a relief to know that I'm not permanently deformed in that department!

Just don't look again. I love to live in blissful ignorance of these things.

Good idea Nikki, who knows how big it will get in another 2 months?!? Gah!!!
Mind you, I think what's even scarier than the 'twinkies' now, is the poor battered and bruised mess afterwards

After my hubby pointed out stretch marks under my bump - I'm living by the "ignorance is bliss" and I'm not even gonna try to look down there!

I attempted to shave the old bikini line the other day and think I probably should have just left it cos cant see what sort of job Ive done, I should have booked in for a wax I think, oh well Im not getting any action anyway so it doesnt make a difference

On the subject of down there...do you think the skin actually stretches and becomes a bit kind of "looser" than it used to be?
I am still procrastinating about my wax...really should go get one done!
I was also reading this articel the other day about bottom bleaching....sounds interesting..gets rid of all the poo stains off your bum!!!! Good grief I did not even know there was such a procedure.
A nice clean...bleached bum hole!! Lovely!

You do have to wonder why someone would need such a procedure unless it was because they couldn't / didn't know how to wipe their bum properly ??
