So, who's online? I'm babysitting and waiting for the 'baby's' parents to come pick her up sometime in the next hour... so how's your day been? (I'm bored)

Been pretty good here. I found out today that a friend of mine (who I've known since I was 5 and even worked with for 4 years) has been courting an Aussie for the last 2 months and they just got engaged! I'm so rapt for her, cause she's 27 and has wanted to be/get married for a while. He's 29 I think.

aw engagements are lovely. i hope it all goes well for them and they have a long and happy life together. how did they meet? 2 months isnt long, but a friend of mine met her man on a website, and they met, moved in together within 6 weeks, engaged within 3 months and married about 6 months after that.
hmm no it must be less than that, as they got married a year after us, and the funny part is my cousin brought him to my wedding, where my friend was a guest. and then things fell apart with my cuz and this guy, only for it to go so well with my friend and him!
anyway, they are having their first baby in december, so it has worked out so well for them. i hope your friend is as happy.

My engaged friends had a mutual friend who passed along information to the would-be suitor. There was 7mos of communications between the suitor and my friend's father, before they met. Kinda old-fashioned but also sweet (it's not an arranged marriage, they both look very happy) and this is exactly as she would have wanted - she's a Pride and Prejudice kind of girl

Ugh. ILs seem to be either great or terrible. Do you live close to your MIL Ruby?
Gwen I've just posted a reply in your thread. Big hugs!

About 15 minutes (she's on the other side of the river)
About 15 hours would be much more suitable
