Ewww when I was working in Auckland, we had a container of stuff come from our branch in Oz. When we opened it there were webs everywhere. Then one of the warehouse guys saw a redback on the roller door so we trapped it and called MAF. Lucky he spotted it. We just hoped that it didn't have a mate with it

The scary thing is i actually know the guy in the picture he was at uni with me i think he was doing his Phd then. But oh no not more spiders well at least they won't like the climate of Invers its too bloody cold and windy. Although it did say they will thrive in grape growing regions interesting as grapes can gro pretty much anywherewe have one growing outside

My DH went to Brisbane a few years ago for his bros 40th and he said he saw so many redbacks. At one stage our 7yo nephew called DH to help him because he'd lost his football down an open drain and his arms weren't long enough to reach it. DH rolled up he sleeve and knelt down to fish out the ball when H said wait a min Uncle, you better watch out there's a redback there, and there and there and I think that big one there's the mother. DH stood up and said let's go get your Uncle J. Uncle J goes to the drain and the same thing happens except it was let's go get your Dad. So his dad comes along, takes one look and says I'll buy you a new football son.
