Was anyone else surprised by Toni's shock exit last night?
I for one, was totally not expecting it. I watched it on tvnzondemand at some early hour of the morning, I was getting into the storyline and really feeling sorry for her when they mentioned dialisis and then next minute BAM- She's Gone!
Maybe I'm just being ignorant because I no longer read the womans mags. I seriously didn't expect that though.
And I'm really not liking the Dance Party storyline with Keiran, he's being such a prat!
They need to show more scenes of Gerald & Scotty

Yeah it was really sad to see her go. I was talking to the TV and saying Nooo not Toni. Cooper even got upset with it. Especially at the end when they didn't play the music!
I think it was just as shocking as Claires exit.
I love Geralds character, and I agree when he's on screen he's very funny. I don't like the dance party storyline either, something bad is going to happen.

I was like...WTF?? My MIL was our place and both sat there shocked!!
I never knew she wanted out from the show....Hmmm 
Yah the Dance party thing is a bit..... 
I agree that some thing is going to go wrong....and why not SS is never peaceful....and if it was we wont watch it...right??

Yeah I know, I covered up my tears with a yawn (I'm sure DH has worked that out though as I do it all the time )
I hadn't seen anywhere that she was getting out of the show? Man I just wanted her and Chris to get back together (as they were going to) but I guess that would be boring now wouldn't it.

Omg I was so shocked aswell, I sat there with my mouth open going "omg omg omg" and tryign to hold back the tears. It was Sarah;s crying and Chris's face that made me nearly cry.
I cant believe they took her out of the show...
Omg and the Dance Party storyline sucks, I hate Keiran he is a dick!!! And Mya is ANNOYING!

GAH... tvnzondemand has frozen on me  i'm upto the bit where Callum is talking to Hunter about the drugs etc in the last sequence before the big event

Now after seeing some ads for the local thearte here in Palmy I now know why she is not longer on the show. She (Laura Hill) is currently staring in the show here.
But yes very sad and I know tonight I will be crying.

I was in tears too!!
I read in Womans Day a while ago that she was really stressed out at work and had depression or something. She probably just wanted out! Must be hard work.
I wish Maia hadn't come back. She annoys me sooooooo much!!
Loving Dr. Ropata though!

Hmm yeah we were totally shocked too!! I was standing in kitchen making dinner with tears rolling down my face - DH understood tho - he was shocked too!!
Am not finding the new Dr Ropata character very nice - I don't find him very solid yet, seems a funny way to portray him. Hope he gets a bit better, I definitely don't like him at the moment. I don't think he will take over as CEO, I think I read somewhere that he was only on for 6 weeks...?

Yep Bel - he's only on it for 6 weeks. It's funny I don't remember his character of old being like he is now - though I guess you do change a lot in 10 years. However I found that also when they brought Guy back, he'd changed heps too (I know the drugs were an issue etc), and in the old days he and Chris had their probs but not like they seemed to in this 'round'. I thought when he left originally to get Tuesday medical help he and chris were ok as Chris went with him to help (or something like that). Oh well, I guess it's pretty silly to try and make sense out of a soap.......which really aren't based in the 'real world'.
But yep toni's death was a total shocker!! They did really well to keep that quiet and stuff. I too wanted her and Chris to get back together and have another baby.
Oh, and Gerald totally cracks me up!!!
