Topic: small world Posted: 29 April 2007 at 5:40pm |
NZ is a small world I'm sure if we all started asking questions it would be less than six degrees of seperation.
I was just reading the intro thread and thought there were heaps of West Aucklanders out there in the ohbaby world.
At the Botony meet up one of the girls lives just around the corner from where I grew up and another coincidence well I just figured out where I had seen twoblondinis partner before ...We were in the same class at high school we are standing next to each other in our 5th form photo which I up loaded on old friends years ago. Well I'm pretty sure it's him anyway...

Yeah, aside from being a westie that survived a West Auckland school, my ohbaby degrees of seperation hit when Jax and I worked out that our husbands work at the same place... (and then there's nothing like giving birth at NSH and having two of the regulars in your Oh Baby due month thread being there at the same time, one of them in the room you got put in).

Jax and I went to high school together but were in different years. I clicked when there was a thread a while back about school uniforms and she talked about the revolting brown woolen skirts - surely no other school would inflict that on their students!
And Two Blondinis, Amy and Clare all live really close to me.
And gandt and I have been friends for years, but that's probably cheating since we knew each other before OHbaby!

ha ha, yes other schools did suject students to brown woolen skirts.. although fortunately i missed out cos they changed the uniform the year i started, ha ha ha, but Becs (Xandersmum) and i went to the same high school. me and Deborah grew up around the corner from each other, went to the same primary school and did our nanny course together.

You forgot me Janine! Mum2Paris lives basically a street over from me, and I know Deborah a little from before she was married. And I know Andie IRL too.

No one knows me either Liz! However, I've had a couple of PMs from people who know members of my husband's extended family - it's an unusual surname, and for a long time they were the only family in New Zealand with it.

Well my DH and Janine went to high school together. Me and Stacey meet each other through a different website. But apart from that I don't think I know anyone else.

LOL Rachel, we're probably related your DH somewhere down the line, my Dad is old school NP stock, his family has lived in Waitara and Stratford for generations. I have cousins around your DH's age that grew up there too that went to Francis Douglas, Sacred Heart and Spotswood College (Dad went to Frankie Doug too). And my uncle built Shifty's sports bar out at Bell Block. And my Dad's uncle Tom McDonald is the McDonald behind McDonald real estate. Or he used to be, he's since died and I don't know if the family still own the business. But they also own race horses at Stratford, All in Fun was one of theirs.
