With Christmas visits coming up, and also a couple of honeymoons (Yay! Fun!) I thought it might be useful to have a thread where we can let the other forum addicts know where we've disappeared to, and roughly how lomg we'll be gone.

I'm not going for another couple of weeks, but some of you are out of here sooner so here you go!

Well I am going to be attached to my computer with a ball and chain (David has threatened to take the monitor lead to work tomorrow though!) until the 5th Jan - When I wake up and realise that I will be moving in 3 days and still need to pack!! Haha

David is working through xmas and new years (joys of farming!) so we will just be doing a combination of packing and seeing friends before we go!!

Hope everyone has a safe and happy Christmas and New Years!!

We're off to Katikati after lunch on Friday, and between now and then I'm going to be busy tidying the house and packing. We'll be back the first week of January, so I'll catch up with you all then! I might be able to come on once or twice more before we go, but probably not.

So, have a great time with your families, and enjoy the holiday fun.

Merry Christmas!

Well, my sis is coming here this year - so I'll be on as much as i can be, but probably not as much as usual.. I have a few assignments due in the next few weeks so will probably spend my time procrastinating on here instead of doing my work.

Haha and I always procrastinate about the housework...

I'm always like "there's only a few things it can wait" ... then it builds up

We're getting a cleaner when bubs comes - a gift from my mum!! Once a week for 6 months I'm pretty lucky actually as Jono takes care of all the laundry. All I have to do is put it in the hamper, and next thing I know it's ironed and hanging in the wardrobe Mind you, I do all the cooking and most of the rest of the cleaning and housework - but it's the laundry I hate doing!!

Oh, i don't believe in ironing. None of my clothes ened ironing and Lewis learnt pretty early if he wanted his done, he'd do them himself. Dishes are my nemisis.

you dont know what laundry is until you have a baby! I cant believe how much washing they make!! I dont iron either - dont buy clothes that need to be ironed! I agree Liz, HATE the dishes. I let them build up and have to do a massive wash, when it would be much easier just to do a small lot more often!

Haha Aimee - I got all my dishes soaking now. But I have had a bad week with a workmate getting killed in car accident and a friend from school on Life Support (She has muscular distrophy) - so dishes and housework haven't been a priority for me in the last week!

I just clicked - when we move I will be without a computer for about 3 days! WHAT AM I GOING TO DO... pack, unpack, clean, stress coz the MIL has invited herself to "help" me unpack....

Poor you Lena. Look at it this way, the third thing is your MIL coming to "help" lol

This weekend marks the first anniversary of my best friends baby being stillborn. I don't know if any of you ladies read the October Little treasures, but her story was in there. So this weekend, there is a memorial service etc, and I am catering it for her, as well as helping out with little stuff like music etc. Getting to a point... Anyhow, i will be busy from now on for that, then next week at work SUPER CRAZY then we are going away for a few days to CHCH for xmas. Looking forward to the break, after a stressful (and sad) ten days.
I will come on tomorrow and post a chrissy pic of Jake.
Hope everyone has a great Chrissy!!
If anyone prays, send up a little one for Emjay on saturday...
