Topic: What makes your child special? Posted: 10 September 2007 at 6:03pm |
Thought it might be nice for us to share why our kiddies are special.
Okay well McKayla surprises me each and every day. Really cant believe she is my kiddy. She loves to share with others. (most of the time) She loves to cuddle and to give hugs and kisses to everyone. Can be really cheeky by coming up sometimes and then turning her head at the last moment.
Since birth she didnt like it when other kids cry and will try and comfort them. She hates it when parents on the tv shout at their kids and will sometimes start crying as well. Now at least she just runs to me for a hug if something upsets her (like the supernanny show) She loves babies and will try and take care of them. Loves to play with older kids and sometimes I can see she gets upset if they dont pay attention to her. (real sensitive soul)
She just loves animals. I really do love this girl quite a lot.
So please everyone share how special your kiddies all are.
Cant wait to read it.

My girl hasnt been around long.. But i love her facial expressions when she sleeps.. (not that i stand there staring at her asleep.. ok yes i do)
And the way she looks so cute and peaceful asleep..
Oh and the way she snuggles into my shoulder and falls asleep.

I still watch my child sleep. She look so innocent and just like a little angel. (which she normally is 99% of the time)

Ella has so much energy (as people who know her will agree). She loves animals too, and has always played with them instead of dolls. She absolutely loves real animals and continuously asks me if we can get a dog
Sometimes I feel drained because Ella has so much energy, but other times I'll look at her and wonder how I came to have such an amazing child. I know that she is going to do something productive and already at 3 she holds most of the skills needed to be a great leader.

I love his long eye lashes, the way he pulls all the facial expressions he can at one time, the way his eyes nearly pop out of his head when we burp him, the way he smiles and laughs at me, the big sigh he lets out before going to sleep, and pretty much everything he does!!!
They are so cute to watch when they are sleeping, we have some really great footage of him smiling to himself in his sleep, was probably dreaming about eating.

McKayla sounds a lot like Hannah - she adores babies and playing with older kids too. I love her lovely kisses and cuddles, especially in the mornings. I love how much energy she has, and she amazes me every day with the things she has learnt to do (like counting, words, alphabet etc).
She has been a real toddler lately so I needed to sit and think about the lovely things she does too.

at the moment I adore Jake's imagination. He keeps whispering "mummy, be quiet, there's a bear/lion/tiger outside. we say ":go away bear/lion/tiger. okay?"
and we yell "go away bear" and I ask "did it work" and he usually will say "no mama, he didn't go to work, he go to sleep now. sssh"
today we went to the esplanade where we found a "jungle" and some elephants. It was really cool
I also love his fearlessness. He climbs the highest slides (the ones with the "not suitable for children under 7), and slides down, no fear. he desperately wants to go on the flying fox by himself. I have always been scared of that kinda thing and it impresses me how he isn't,
As for Taine, my giggly boy. i love how he wakes up around 9 and snuggles into bed with me. i don't like how Lewis has to then sleep in his bed, but he's only little for so long. I love how he grabs my arm and wraps it around him. When he's awake, i love how he looks at things, with such fascination. he went to the spouting today and was playing in the water. He kept looking at his hands and the water. i love how he smiles and grins,(and then bites, but i don't love that as much). i love how he is dancing to everything, including the news theme songs.

I love the way Brenna comes to find me when I hide and she gets so excited to have found me.
She waves at all the animals and loves touching (poking) them.
She loves to share her food and has just started (kind-of) having cuddles

I love how Caprece is always so smiley and always smiles at Jack. I love how she puts her wee fists when she is feeding.
I love how when Jack needs a cuddles he still puts his fists the same way as he did when he was a tiny bubba. I love how he sits there and talks to Caprece in some crazy language and gives her kisses. I love how smart he is and how good he is at playing with balls. I love how he shows off around new people.

While it drives me absolutely bananas hearing "No, I do it by myself" all day, everyday... I do love that Hannah is so independent. She's so good at figuring out how to do things by herself and loves being capable.
Ahhh, it's so nice to write about this kind of stuff when she's asleep and I'm no longer tearing my hair out.

One thing I really love about my two, is how much they love each other. Charly will turn herself upside down inside out to find Jake in the room and smile at him, and laugh like nothing else. He will go into her room and climb into her cot and cuddle and kiss her, and when she is on the floor playing he will bring her toys and say "alright, bubba?"

I love the way Elle plays "boof", the way she has mini 2 second cuddles, the expression of joy on her face when she walks across the room, the way she wrinkles her little button nose when she smiles, the way she holds tightly to my sleeve when we are out and the cute way she says "whaaas that" about everything! I also love the way she says "whaaas that" while looking me in the eye and pointing in opposite directions with both hands

what makes her special = well she thinks she is and so I agree with her!!!
but have to say her ability to catch someones eye and make them smile! GO on I dare anyone to resist smiling when Miss Gabriella catches their eye and smiles at them in her special way....once youve been smiled at by her you are a gonner......

Can't even begin to put into words.. really
How beautiful Paris is, personality wise and looks too (I sometimes look at her and think "where on earth did those gorgeous genes come from?"), She is such a mummy, looks out for her little sister, (sometimes a bit bossy), plays the funniest games, does quirky little things that make you crack up, I love the way she gets grumpy at you when you laugh at something that apparently "is not funny!", I love how wise she is and how she is so darn stubborn she doesn't give up until she gets something right. I secretly love how much of a perfectionist she is too.. how many 20mth olds would get stroppy with their dolls house because the people don't sit down and "you're not allowed to stand on chairs!!" Or because the blanket wasn't exactly square and flat on the dolly.
Ayja, I love her smile, her smile so big that it squeezes her eyes into little slits you can hardly see. I love the way she wraps her arms around us as says "I'm giving you koala cuddles mummy", The way she does things for herself, the way she's learning to assert her independance from paris in *mostly* good constructive ways, and tell her when she wants to do things her way during play. I love how clever she is, and how clearly she speaks.
I think most of all i love the way how they both still smell like my tiny wee bubs i used to snuggle into my shoulder as they fell asleep (could be due to johnsons baby powder, lol), and how when i go to tuck them into bed before i go to sleep at night Ayja will always roll over, cuddle down into her bed and say "I Lub you mum" in her sleep.
