Cloth Wipes

I am planning to use cloth wipes for my bubs - so would be keen to see replies on this one. My plan so far was to keep them damp in a small container and then wash them with the nappies - does this sound right?

Yes, thats exactly what i do. most of mine are just soft baby flannels too.
when i go out i have wipes or i brought some wipes solution for use with wipes ... i found that the wipes dried out my skin too much when i had my first baby so i was doing cloth wipes before i even did cloth nappies.

I have a stack of cloth wipes in an old shoe box in the boys room. I grab and wet as I need at the moment (as some days I'm changing several pooey nappies between them, and other days I'm only changing wet ones) but I intend to keep some in a bucket of water to use on Crumb as required after they arrive.

Forgot to mention that using cloth wipes with just water is a lot better on their sensitive skin than using disposable wipes with all the chemicals that go into them.

Mine are from Tweedle.

We did use flannels in the beginning but found they weren't that easy too use compared with the tweedle ones and they aren't as soft as microfleece/bamboo/sherpa ones

ETA: By not as easy I meant flannels were too thick and harder to get him as clean.

I have a brilliant little kit from cheeky wipes that came with 18 little flannel wipes a little bucket and some tea tree oil. The oil works as a great antiseptic and you just put a couple of drops in the bucket of water. It all just sits on the change table. Brilliant!

Do you find 18 enough?

When Han was litle and lots of changes i had them all in an old Huggies container, already wet. Now I just wet as I go as we dont have many changes.

I have about 30 as well - mixture of FB ones (microfleece/flannelette) and soft baby flannels from the Warehouse. I really like the look of those wipes kits as well - may get one for the next bub.

I had normal sized flannels (thinner and more worn out ones as they were easier to work with... not exactly soft tho!!) and some thinner one-sided towelling washers for all other times. Really didn't have a system. Well, maybe I did, it was just a very disorganised one of running around like a loony checking the various piles of washing around the house and then running to the bathroom and willing the hot water to come faster so my Devil Child wouldn't escape from her position on the floor and get poos everywhere when I had found a pooey nap that I didn't expect to be there.

Next time I'll definitely have a much more organised system.
