Thank you so much guys for all the info. We have been attending the Howick one for a few weeks now and we just love it. I dont think I am ever going to get the paint out of McKayla's clothes at all. Meow that clothes I bought of you came in real handy some days.

I just love the excitement in my girls eyes when we get there. She absolutely is having a ball. Course load is not too much. They want me to just do 1 or 2. After that it is optional but great stuff to learn in course 2 and everything I can do with my child as well.

The other moms are starting to become like friends which is great. There is another SA mom and another one that is thinking of joining. Sounds like McKayla is already starting to pick up the Asian languages a little bit. Wish I can say that for the Maori words. She just eats and then run of with morning tea so doesnt get to listen to the songs in Maori at all. Mmmm yeah guess that will come with time.

Having the AGM meeting tonight and it is kind of nice to get out without McKayla some nights. (although on Monday she and Grant dropped me off at the centre for the course 1 and she apparently threw such a tantrum that she actually threw up.) Didnt like the idea that I was going to playcentre and she wasnt.

Tonight we are going to try and get her in the bath and then me sneak out. (lets hope that works.) She is generally fine with me going out by myself ect but I think it was the fact that I went to playcentre and with who's kids was I going to play with and why cant she go with.

Emma you were so right. Definately playcentre is the place for us.

And if you all are still reading. Thanks for letting me share this useless information.

Share away, that is great news for you and McKayla.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Glad you are enjoying Howick Playcentre, I enjoyed it way back nearly 25 years ago with Kelly(caitlynsmygirl) mother and her younger brother The Mums there then were friendly.
Hope the AGM goes well and that McKayla better for you tonight when you leave

That all sounds great, and way to go getting in there and being involved. My sister was a playcentre mum and she loved it when she found the right playcentre for her. she didnt want to leave when her kids started school!

Great that you're enjoying playcentre, and that the clothes are coming in handy! I used to put the same clothes on Ella each time, there is no point in ruining the good clothes, and that paint definately doesn't come out!!

We have a nice new showerblock in ours to dump kiddies in. Although I must admit I havent used it yet. This one will just get dirty right afterwards while we are still cleaning up so I just put up for the five minutes to home.

It seems that it really is quite involved but I kind of like it. I mean this is the reason why I want to be a SAHM to be more involved. (no excuses now.)
