We have put in place the three pressie rule after hearing about it from Faraway (thanks Kathryn).
So Sam is getting something to wear, something to play with and something to read. I have already gotten her a Leappad so that takes care of the reading portion, now I get to go toy and pumpkin patch shopping - YAY!

oooh does she have a bike??? or a paddling pool?
how about staring her with barbies, fairies or puppies type toys - does she have a preference for something that you can do a theme around for the pressies???
Dick Smith has the coolest Karaoke band set....kids love to sing....
She is at the coolest age!

James got a bike and paddling pool for his birthday.
I'm thinking about getting him the Iggle Piggle toy that dances and sing as he loves In The Night Garden when he gets to watch it, some clothes and maybe a big toy car as he seems to really be in to them being a boy and all like watching them crash lol.

A mini washing line? You can buy them on trademe, someone on there makes them. Ella was into helping with the washing at that age (and still does sometimes! )

Last year we got Jack a pop up tent thing with a tunnel and a wee push along trike. Also those little people are really cool.

I would leave it at that actually. But things to play with in the bath (particular for pouring not just floating), little board books, doll or other soft toy for going to bed with, baby headband - is my ideas for Kryssi for Christmas/birthday so far.

Do they still make my little pony. I had my little ponies and they were cool....all though I did like to give them hair cuts My barbies had hair cuts too Scary scary looking dolls.

For my niece who is just turned one, we are giving her a little pop-up tent $17-95 at bunnings. Taine was given the Fisher price animal train thing which is so cute and well-loved.

How about a pram and a dollie? McKayla just loved those. Bath toys is always fun. Bath crayons? (just hide the red that doesnt come out so easily.)

Hmmm I guess its a bit harder when you already have a child, but we have bought for Ashleigh a table and chairs set, one of those fold out couch thingys, a doll, some crayons... ummm I think thats all. Might get her one other thing to unwrap as won't be wrapping the big things.

LOL BS! I'm amazed at how much 'Grannie' spends on your little one! Probably cause DH and I both came from *tight* (low income) families. I think it's neat though!

Bunnings has a rocker - a blue elephant one that's about $25.. you can sit baby on there in the middle themselves or have one at each end, or 3 kids if you want - nice and cheap and we have gotten lots of use out of it Ayja especially spent heaps of time on it around age 1
