We got a puppy on Sunday and the lady said it was up to date with its worming but I'm not so sure, its been moving around with its bottom on the ground like they do when they have worms. I noticed tonight Jack was itching his bottom so tommorrow I'm going to get some worming stuff for the dogs.
Anyway whats the deal with worming humans should I worm us all? What about Caprece?
I think you can only worm humans from ages 2 and up. and if your BF you might want to check before you worm yourself. You can get nice chocolate stuff from the pharmacy.
She probably was only using a worming tablet from the supermarket. Buy good ones from the vet and worm puppy every 3-4 weeks until he/she is about 6 months i think it is then its 3 monthly.. but check with the vet on that one... its been a few years since ive had a dog.
When we thought Andrew had them I got worm tablets and when at the chemist I asked about me having one as well and the chemist said no as I was BF. Everyone else in the house should have a tablet and you should wash all bedding.
I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!
There's no real way of preventing kiddies to get them other than washing their hands every single time they touch the puppy or where the puppy has been which is just impossible really.
hey rachandjack - it can also be an anal gland thing in the dog that is causing it to scoot along on the ground... might be worth asking the vet... (I used to have a dog that did this - they clear it out and it stops)
