yeah id get it checked..it can cause problems later on..but tell the mw and she will treat it.. i didnt know cranberry can lead to thrush..if anything it's helped mine stay away..what is in it that causes thrush?
Just consulted Google and found that unsweetened cranberry juice is used to curb or prevent thrush so perhaps for some people it is just the sugar in the sweetened version that is the problem. There are always exceptions to the rule.
I couldn't handle cranberry juice but you can buy cranberry tablets from health food shops - they do the same job and much much easier to take than a whole glass of juice
good on you for making a dr's appointment. he/she will probably give you antibiotics which will kill the bacteria. cranberry juice does help in the meantime. i've never had thrush problems with it so you could try. it is important to see the dr because sometimes if untreated a UTI can turn into a kidney infection which is very dangerous for you and for the baby! or it can just become a bad UTI which, from experience, is very very uncomfortable.
You can take Ural safely, just watch when you get further along as I got a UTI but without any of the classic symptons because of the relaxin, didn't know I had it until I was in some major pain as it had become a kidney infection. So look for cloudy wees, is easier to get infections when pregnant also cos of the relaxin. I had two courses of antibiotics as I got a second infection just before I went into early labour (although was told it probably didn't cause it, as I caught that one early.)
thanks ladies for all your help I am on antibiotics nowgood old uti! I get thrush from antibiotics (sorry if tmi) so he gave me some stuff for that too just in case! GREAT! all worth it in the end! lets hope this is the one and only uti!
