Our neighbour is a bit of a i think I am a know it all.... guess what he said to DH when dh said rhyley was walking - and took his first steps at a week before his first birthday...

'oh kids who are quick to walk are slower at other things'...

Now in hinesight its not a bad comment BUT he is always comig out with negative comments.

As it is I don't think Rhyley walked early i think its the norm to walk at a year old (and he didn't properly walk till 13months)

Silly old people! Why do people even make comments like that? And yeah I think around one year is pretty normal now.

Can I tell you about our elderly neighbours (who by the way, are kinda family - she is my late grannys cousin but had a bit to do with the family)? Once they rang up and asked when we were giong to mow our lawns! And they werent even that long. Then she had the cheek to ask if the weeds growing through their garden had come from under our side of the fence.

Sorry to thread jack Ann!

We can swap Ann you can have my loud and annoying 20 year olds that think it is ok to party every weekend.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

I hate people who say things like that and 13 months is the average age to walk

My cousins Gran was sitting next to me on xmas 2 years ago while I was 37 weeks pregnant and said to me "don't eat too much or you won't be able to lose the weight after the baby is born" I mean WTF who says that kinda stuff
